Song Parodies -> "Please Chill Out Your Senseless"

Original Song Title:

"Annie's Song"

 (MP3)
Original Performer:

John Denver

Parody Song Title:

"Please Chill Out Your Senseless"

Parody Written by:

Guy DiRito

The Lyrics

Just my take on the debacle between Officer Crowley and Professor Gates that did but should never have gained worldwide attention. Doesn't our chief executive officer have way more important things to do than to supervise a cat fight?

Author's note: The word "your" in the title is intended to be second person possessive and not the contraction for "you are."

(Crowley)

Please chill out your senseless,
You’re a might full of soreness.
Just accountin' a street crime,
Get that block out your brain.
Please conform 'fore we get hurt,
Calm your shriek-y commotion.
Just chill down defenseness,
Who are you again?

(Gates)

Come get me, schmuck screw,
I won't give no ID to.
Put me down how you're after,
Cause awry went alarm.
I won't lay down; provide you,
Yet in all ways resist you.
You and your mom too,
My name's not "Again".

(Instrumental Interlude)

I'll tell my bro who,
Would love to suspend.

(Yo Bomb-a)

That cop acted senseless.
I can't quite so ignore this.
Did my shoutin' on primetime,
'Bout a cop with no brain.
A spit-storm from the press blurts,
Better QT the notion.
Let's skill up our senses,
With beer make amends.

Favorite lines: "You and your mom, too/My name's not "Again" :D Tempest in a teapot indeed... with buttered scones.

Fiddlegirl - My better half chuckled at the very same lines that you have mentioned. I originally wanted to write a John Denver parody for the Artistry round of competitions on amiright's messageboard, but alas I missed the entry deadline. Oh well this one is current as the news keeps on keepin' on about it. Thanks for your comment.

I live in England and I've heard the story. If it carries on like that you'll end up with cops that only deal with people of their own 'type'. I suppose that would be pretty cool for some eg. any Mongolian crooks or wayward Maasai warriors that live among you.

Andy - you have made me realize what we must look like to people in other countries. You make a great point - thanks.

Re your comment about how we look to other countries: We look DARN ridiculous and they are wondering what our 'president' is doing with all these acts he puts on.
