thanks peregrin and jeff....i had a stepgrandmother named geraldine who everyone called "jerry"...she ALWAYS smelled like cigarettes and beer..had the barnum & bailey make-up going on too....plus she had six toes on each foot and always wore sandals.....this never failed to fascinate / horrify me as a child

Hi Alvin, I've only recently discovered this site and I'm starting to read through your older entries - I think this is your best one yet, probably because it reminds me of my lovely old great aunt and her husband, 93 & 98 and still going strong(ish). PS - It would appear that you have waaaaaaay too much spare time on your hands.
