The Lyrics

An entry for "Brangelina - An Amiright Musical"...........see thread here
Dear Mr Voight (er, Jon) - Hi. I'm Brad. You may have recently seen a small magazine article revealing that I am Angelina's new whipping boy. As such, she has delegated me the task of addressing your regular requests for reconciliation. But...

It won't be easy,
Jon, to arrange
a chat to explain how you feel
Like in Mission Impossible, YOU'RE the bad guy
I know you made her
a grunt then a squirt - yep you knew what to do
but thirty years on she is now
at sixes and sevens with you

I wouldn't try to force it
she's Lara Croft
and she knows how to handle a knife
and the blood of a man "has-been" ink to her quill
but she found virtue
kick-boxing round those Cambodian hills
adopting young kids everywhere
(which noone expected her to)

Don't try to see Angelina
The truth is she's still pissed at you
you midlife cowboy
so her existence
you'd best keep track of
from a safe distance

And as for fortune
and as for fame
she's got both in buckets, you see
plus her babies, big lips, and those sizzling sex sprees
so Ange is fine, thanks
she's not quite the nutter you thought she would be
I think you stuffed up Jonny boy
a bad parent, ap-parent-ly

so
don't try to see Angelina
because, mate, if it were easy
Jen would have been here
with guns ablazing
(she gets REAL angry)
(it's quite amazing)

Have I made my point?
There's nothing more I can think of to say to you
so do what I say, mate, please!
or I'll be in...
the...
poo

DON'T TRY TO SEE ANGELINA!

warm regards

Brad

I don't know about this, Brad. Remember, this is the guy who bit Cosmo Kramer on the arm a few years back! Watch yourself!

DKTOS, nor am I that familiar with Brad and Angelina's situation, an interesting read, nevertheless.

You forgot that she has a thing for other women's husbands, but its a good one.

Great start (after Rick's of course) for us all Stu, this is a tough act to follow. Julie Covington did this 20+ years before Madonna huh? That explains a few minor lyric differences I noticed. Fav line:

"I think you stuffed up Jonny boy
a bad parent, ap-parent-ly".

thanks JD and AFW

JAB - they say you can't meet the challenge - they say you're not up to it - they say your best days are behind you - they say there's no more to say - say it aint true John Barry - SAY IT AINT TRUE!!! - (er, to make sense out of all this, click on the link at the top - you get many mentions!)

thanks alvin

ah yes, MP! Jon Voight's old car - I forgot about that Voight appearance - you are a wonder

thanks Stephen and 2Eagle

I'm sure there'll be a lot more funnier ones, Red Ant - the rhyme pattern is quite forgiving in the OS. I remember when the Julie Covington original hit number one, during the first ever production of Evita, so that's the one I keep remembering

I read this the day it came out, Stu. Thought I had commented and voted but, apparently not. Excellent! :-)
