It won’t be easy, you’ll think it strange
when I try to explain how it feels.
but it’s awful, quite often, I reach for a gun.
You won’t believe me.
All you will see is some brain cells, a few
And patient who’s crazy and glad
they won’t expect help from you.

I’ve got to let this happen. I’ve got to change.
Life with headaches, it never appeals.
Keeping clear of all bright lights, the worst is the sun.
So I choose surg’ry:
running around, testing everything new.
But nothing’s worked for me at all.
I knew it was too good to be true.

Don’t cry for me Ibuprofen.
The truth is I’ll always need you.
All through each good day,
blighted by migraine,
I’ll always digest
and always complain .

And as for sickness that makes me lame
I never requested a pin.
Though it seems to the world acupuncture’s inspired,
it’s a delusion.
I don’t have the solution they promised to me.
The chemist had you, just in time.
Above you? I don’t think that’s me.
