The Lyrics

What would happen if Kirk and the Enterprise time travelled to Bedrock and Middle Earth? Don't ask how I came up with it; not even I know....
There's a caveman who's seen folks from other galaxies
Lord of the Rings, The Flintstones, and Star Trek
When he meets up with Kirk, they'll land in Middle Earth
Mr. Spock says, "It's highly illogical"

Ooh, ooh, Lord of the Rings, the Flintstones, and Star Trek

There's a door on the wall that can open and close
Automatically, in the near future
In a tree in the woods, there's a hobbit and friends,
Bilbo, Oin, Gloin, and Gandalf, and Thorin

(Guitar interlude)

Ooh, these wolves are evil
Ooh, 'cause Captain said so

Kirk told hobbits and friends that they'd gone on a trek
And a black hole sent them though time travel
In the hobbit's pocket, ring that makes you unseen
And then Enterprise and Flintstones time travelled

Ooh, Yabba-Dabba-Doo now!
Ooh, they also saw more hobbits

They saw Frodo and Sam, Merry, Pippin, and Gimli
Because Elrond had just formed the Fellowship
And Gandalf would not no longer be grey
He turned white, which is a different color

And it makes me wonder
Does it make you wonder?

If there's an episode of Star Trek that is just like this,
It's probably never aired on TV
Yes, William Shatner has some albums, but he ain't singing
If you were on Star Trek, you sang a song

Space: The Final Frontier

Spock is a Vulcan, he ain't human, in case you didn't know
Or maybe he is just a fraction
James Doohan, his accent is silly, and did you know
That Star Trek's still the most popular cult show

(Guitar solo synched with music from Lord of the Rings; the Flintstones theme; and the original Star Trek theme)

The hobbits live in Middle Earth
The Flintstones live in the Stone Age
The Town of Bedrock is their home
And Barney Rubble is his homey
The Enterprise in outer space
Will find new life and strange new worlds
This mission lasting for five years
The Enterprise will boldly gooooo, yeah!
Go where no man has gone befooooooorrrrrrreeeeeeee

(The Star Trek theme plays in the background)

Lord of the Rings, the Flintstones, and Star Trek

GBHD -- Yes, I kinda knew that, reading TV Guide and watching that Simpsons episode. Lee -- Yes, that was "The Jetsons Meet the Flintstones" back in the 60s or seventies I think.
