The Lyrics

Making fun of all the Krofft Super Show TV theme songs, one-by-one. For those old enough to remember the 1970s Saturday Morning Cartoon line up
It's the middle of the summer, when new talent starts to spark,
The playing of new performers who often dominate the charts
Xfinity Music On-Demand, every type for every fan, so
scroll down with remote in hand and pick the Best Bets

Pick the genres most lyrical, and choose best of the best
then sit back and do enjoy the best artists of the West
but suddenly you might just learn, that some artists will your stomach turn,
'cause not everyone's been blessed with lovely vocal pleasantness

The moment that we click a track, it starts the video,
And as we put it down to oft relax we do not like a show that's gross
or blows, or blows, or blows, or blows, or blows, or blows,
you know,........ it shows

We get stunned and, well, agitated, still we have to see
There was something in that track that's crap... what could that something be?
Then cautiously we take a look, obscenity and sex abounds,
And all at once we made a big mistake, this sucks,... this horrid sound!

[Hideous Laughter]

Falling, falling, into the lame track spell,
Mind spinning, turning, whirling, twirling....Down.....Down.....

We can't believe this foul surprise, we cover our poor ears and eyes...

Kidsville is Ariana Grande (fake Mariah Carey)
Kidsville is Selena Gomez (yeah, she's Mexican)
Kidsville is Miley Cyrus (the twerking virus)
Kidsville is A. Mahone and friends (Bieber clone dear friends)

N'SYNC's "Bye, Bye, Bye" AGAIN!!!

And if you have a chance don't go-go there
You'll be glad you did... n't, cause
Everyone who comes from Kidsville has really flipped their lids!

[Evil laugh]

"Even if chart-topper???"

[Better switch over to Bart Baker*]

I am old enough to remembers the 70's Saturday morning shows. The only show by Sid and Marty Krofft I can remember is H.R. Pufnstuf, and really only the theme song to that. Thank God for the Bugs Bunny Roadrunner Hour.

The 1970s line-up was great: H.R. Pufnstuf, Sigmund the Sea Monster, Wonderbug, Dr. Shrinker, Electra-Woman and Dynagirl, Bigfoot and Wild Boy, The Lost Saucer, Far Out Space Nuts, Donny and Marie Show, The Bugaloos, Lidsville, and more. Filmation also provided Ark II and the Shazam & Isis Hour. And don't forget about Fat Albert and Run Joe Run!

Oh yes, now that you remind me there was also Land of the Lost, which I actually liked. Those Sleestak were the real and only Sleestak.

In addition to Donny and Marie, there was the Brady Bunch Variety Show, Barabra Mandrell & the Mandrell Sisters, Pryor's Place (Richard Pryor) and even Raquel Welch was featured on Krofft Specials! Saturday Morning cartoons were best in the 1970s IMHO and Krofft led the way (Filmation second).
