The Lyrics

No, this has nothing to do with Hurricane Katrina. This is a fantasy about this chick from Philly. Rate it R for Blue Staters, NC-17 for Red Staters. SEPTA = SouthEastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, which meets up with New Jersey Transit at Trenton.
Hey, Pennsylvania woman!
(New Jersey man!)
We get together whenever we can.
The Delaware River can't keep us apart.
There's too much love in this New Jersey heart.
(Too much love in this Pennsylvania heart.)

Me:
See the traffic backed up, far up Route 1?
I guess I'll have to take the commuter train, hon.
I switch to the SEPTA at Trenton, doncha know?
The Market East Station, that's where I gotta go.
With a Pennsylvania woman waitin' on the other side
we gonna get some cheesesteaks and fries!

Hey, Pennsylvania woman!
(New Jersey man!)
We get together whenever we can.
The Delaware River can't keep us apart.
There's too much love in this New Jersey heart.
(Too much love in this Pennsylvania heart.)

Her:
Well, a phanatic in Philly, that's what I am
but that New Jersey Devil is my kind of man.
When he talks that talk out on the boardwalk
who needs to go all the way to N'Yawk?
This big girl don't cry, 'cause he's the one.
To that New Jersey man I was born to run!

Hey, Pennsylvania woman!
(New Jersey man!)
We get together whenever we can.
The Delaware River can't keep us apart.
There's too much love in this New Jersey heart.
(Too much love in this Pennsylvania heart.)

Me:
Well, the summer's over, but our love won't end.
The Ben Franklin Bridge'll be shaking again.

Her:
Ben, old boy, if you'd only known
of lightning from Garden State to Keystone.

Both:
Don't care 'bout the Eagles and Gi-ants
as long as we can get inside each other's pants!

Hey, Pennsylvania woman!
(New Jersey man!)
We get together whenever we can.
The Delaware River can't keep us apart.
There's too much love in this New Jersey heart.
(Too much love in this Pennsylvania heart.)
There's too much love in this New Jersey heart.
(Too much love in this Pennsylvania heart.)
There's too much love in this New Jersey heart.
(Too much love in this Pennsylvania heart.)
(repeat 'til fade)
What can I say? Philly's a WHOLE lot closer than Wyoming. Though there is a Wyoming County in Pennsylvania.

I change from the NJ Transit from Penn Station to SEPTA at Trenton to get to college. I'm glad you decided to romanticize that commute, even though the OS is insufferable. Nice 'Born To Run' shout out, too!
