This author has been to southern Arizona more time than he can count. I don't know why Arizona didn't pass that law ten years ago. If these people who are so cranky over what Arizona has done, then they should go there to stay and live for a while. Yeah, anything is okay as long as it is not in my back yard is the attitude taken by those not affected by the violence, the drug trade, the cartel gangs and the fiscal burden brought there by those who have entered the United States illegally, and I stress illegally. I wonder what part of illegal the current administration does not understand. I stand by Arizona's decision to put forth some huevos and be non-PC if that is what it takes to stop this BS.

Anyone who lives within 150 miles from the southern border in the four states that form our border with our neighbor to the south knows that the drug cartels have infiltrated all the populated areas within these bounds. Any major city, mine included have them operating on our streets. Very recently the Obama administration has taken up the task of filing a law suit in federal court against Arizona's recently signed into law, a crackdown on illegal immigration. Phoenix has the un-envious distinction of being statistically the second in the world in numbers of kidnappings. Mexico City leads the way. How dare the feds bring suit against a law that was enacted due to the fed's failure to protect its citizens along the border. It is the federal law that has failed and the failure of the federal government to act against this problem and protect our citizens.

Polls have shown that there are more people for the law than there are against it but still the feds are hell bent on nullifying this law against the people's will as a majority. Arizona Governor Jan Brewer has taken a lot of flack over this and she is sticking to her guns. Give her the credit that she is due. I am trying to do just that in this parody.

Arizona's immigration law goes into effect on July 29, 2010. So Obama is moving quickly to stop it from becoming the law of the land in Arizona.

It's way beyond that old El Paso,
Unjust this law they say.
(Hostin' these posers that slip through like Crisco™)
Say's California, hey.
We'd better start heavin' rotten hoods and cartel dudes,
More dollars of green we pay.
And nobody knows the half of her,
Almost everybody thinks it's okay.

Arizona, Can't feel the pain so laid?
Arizona, takin' on the crooks of this world,
...Why Whyyyy?
Arizona, cut off from interstate trade,
Arizona, why'd you say no, why stray?

Ripped off, denied, their acting like a meany copper shunned away, riled.
Shape no restraint there's no space and the middle ground, ain't.
Arizona, make all your 'locos' shoo,
Arizona, our way or the highway.

INSTRUMENTAL INTERLUDE

Hollering up in San Francisco,
You should be kind; let stay.
(What would amount to gone 'way fiscal),
And you will count less hay.
You want them leave these robbin' hoods your neighborhoods go (strolling back south there to stay).
We should be feeding you atop our tables?
It's these things they make us pay.

Arizona, sell off your cap and trade,
Arizona, takin' on the look of third world.
Arizona, shake off those loco blues,
Hey Obama, Can't you see it our way?
...Why Whyyyy?

Arizona, So glad someone's not afraid,
Arizona, Hey won'tcha lead the way.
Arizona, take out those snow-blow crews,
Hey Obama, take another look at the... word.
...Why Whyyyy?

Arizona... (Fade)

Great job of getting your political message across, Guy...sketched with your usual professional flair..Several clever rhymes, lines, and metaphors..Great use of the other song. I've often thought about parodying this tune..in a lighter vein, maybe something about the soft drink, Arizona Tea...

Farce - I did once before a long time ago. The parody was all about poking fun at karaoke, in fact that was the title. This hummer can be tricky to work out but I go for the challenge. Thanks for your comment. I thought this parody was going to be a flame magnet, but so far all is quiet on the southern front. Thanks buddy.

It truly is shameful Gavin's statements about SFO being a sanctuary City; please Sir, not all of us agree with him ! Thus, the TeaParty oPetaLuma !

Lady of the wee cakes of sanctity. Your faithful writer knows this I am well traveled and people are diverse in every nook and cranny of the populated areas of this land. It is just that the squeaky wheel gets the grease. So those who yell the loudest along with biased network news outlets spin the facts and get noticed and believed.. I make it a point to watch daily 1/2 hour each of the three major network news on TV and then I watch Fox News. It is the only way to get a true sense of what is true and what is boo.

Thank you so much for your read and comment. Your comments are always welcomed and appreciated. =;-)

SirGuy, there is nothing wrong or lacking in our laws . . . They cry out for 'enForcement', Sir ! ROME is a good example. It is the law for the FederalGovt. to protect its citizens, no matter which state in which they reside! . . . I fear that the ~US~ is now becoming just a HomeOwner's Assoc. where one bldg. will not protect/correct another's problems, if it does not affect ' them' at that particular moment ! !

Lady of the little cake with a file in it - Right you are and I believe that if the federal government will not protect its citizens especially now along the border where they need it most, I firmly stand by Gov. Jan Brewer's actions to do for her state what "the annointed one" will not do for them as mandated.

And look where we are now! I think that this writer really saw this coming. So glad he's from my state! Thanks Guy!
