The Lyrics

One of my favorite movies of all time, literally the only one I've ever laughed all the way home from. But remember the principal's line? "Fifteen years from now, when he looks back on the ruin his life's become, he is going to remember Edward Rooney!" And Cameron's line? "He's gonna be a frycook on Venus." Well, now it's been 20 years. Can you imagine Ferris back at Shermer High, the school from his movie and "The Breakfast Club," teaching, talking about today's kids... with principal Richard Vernon (the detention monitor from TBC)?
(instrumental opening)

(Ferris)
Stoners... Gothics
Lazy kids, they're... slothics.
Future's what you... make it
but these kids, I can't... take it.

(Vernon)
Aw, welcome back here, Bueller!
Back here to Shermer High.
This ain't teachin', this ain't teachin'.
No, no, Ferris, this ain't teachin'.
No, no, no.

(Ferris)
Rooney, he... was right.
Kids don't even... curse right.
Much better in... Eighties.
Their chances slim and... shady.

(Vernon)
Aw, welcome back here, Bueller!
Back here to Shermer High.
This ain't teachin', this ain't teachin'.
No, no, Ferris, this ain't teachin'.
No, no, no.

(Ferris)
Sloane is... my wife.
But this ain't no... high life.
Cameron joined the... Army.
But these kids are so... smarmy.

(Vernon)
Aw, welcome back here, Bueller!
This ain't the life you picked.
Yeah, welcome back here, Bueller!
It's just yourself you tricked.

(Ferris)
Life is... real rough.
Kids these days don't... know stuff.
White Sox won, I... flubbed, man
'cause I'm still a... Cub fan!

(Vernon)
Aw, welcome back here, Bueller!
Now you understand!
Aw, welcome back here, Bueller!
Now you understand!

(instrumental fadeout)
