Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Meats of This Town"

Parody Written by:

Porfle Popnecker

The Lyrics

Meats of this town
Do not grace royal halls
Or fill the trays of princes at their balls
Just picnics and backyards, cookin' on a humble grill
As I walk round, the meats of this town
I can taste them still

Meats of this town
Don't hang in butcher shops
Or emanate from gadgets shaped like chops
Lemonade stands, selling sirloin on the side
As I walk round, the meats of this town
I can feel the pride

Each house has a freezer full
Verily
That holds the ideal meat
For each dish that comes con carne

The meats tonight
Hang waiting for the flame
Dream of days, before the vegans came
Beef, pork, and chicken, eaten by a lonesome few
As I walk round, the meats of this town
Boils a distant stew

As I walk round, the meats of this town
Boils a distant stew

I remember back in the 1970s the Saturday special meat buffets. Man, I used to chow down back then!!! Now I hungry for some meatloaf due to this song ;-D 555!!!

I could sure handle a good old barbecue buffet right about now. But meatloaf (with plenty of ketchup) would do fine, too.

Hey Porfle, I think you missed my BBQ song parody from 10/24. Could you take a look at it and rate it? I tried to write about food like you do, but admit that you are far better than me when it comes to that topic!!! http://www.amiright.com/parody/misc/traditional2016.shtml
