The Lyrics

I never did a proper tribute to Michael Johnson, who sadly passed away in July. so, I'll take this opportunity, to parody my personal favorite song of his, in his honor.
R.I.P. Michael Johnson: 1944 - 2017.
the parody of course, is about "The Song That Doesn't End" and the radio station & little cousin who take that title very literally! please enjoy!

Michael's Masterpiece (a.k.a. the OS!): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pr0pBHAXlWc
my young cousin turned it to that station
they were having some celebration
they started singin' what they called a never-ending tune
good half-hour, and they kept on singin'
oh my word, the headache it was bringin'
and my young cousin started singin' too

I Know That Song Can't Last Forever
I Know All Songs Have To End Sometime
But Geez, It Drones, It's Become Tomorrow
And No Pop Tart Will Make Him Hush, This Time

so, pardon me for my disposition
wish I didn't have to sit and listen
to my cousin try to out-sing the radio
if I wasn't scared that he would hit her
I'd be better off to get a sitter
but I must endure this torture all alone

I Know That Song Can't Last Forever
I Know All Songs Have To End Sometime
But Geez, It Drones, It's Become Tomorrow
And No Pop Tart Will Make Him Hush, This Time

such a ridiculous little station
they're still playing that D@^^n song
as long as they sing, my situation's
that my cousin keeps singing along!

I Know That Song Can't Last Forever
I Know All Songs Have To End Sometime
But Geez, It Drones, It's Become Tomorrow
And No Pop Tart Will Hush Him, This Time

I Know That Song Can't Last Forever
I Know All Songs Have To End Sometime
But Geez... (fade out.)
hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving! now, is everybody getting ready for Christmas?! :)
thanks for reading!

I remember that dang "Song That Doesn't End" not so vividly. It gets stuck in your head and takes forever to get out of it.

Jonathan, I see that you sometimes do requests. Can you do a parody involving Kid's Silly Soda? My kids love the drink. TIA

^ thanks for the suggestion, Pearl! I'll have to look that stuff up, but after the Christmas Season, I will definitely post your request, along with a couple of others that are on my "to-do" list! Thanks Again!

Nope, try this: The longest officially released song is "In The Garden" sung by PC III label Pipe Choir (USA), which lasts 3 hrs 1 min 50 sec. The song was released through the digital platforms iTunes, Amazon.com, Spotify and Google Play on 16 August 2015.~ Guinness

What about "We Are The World"? It doesn't actually go on for hours on end; it just seems like it does
