Arwen - Excellent! 5's - When they held the meeting at then end of last January to tell us they were "Deep-Sixing" our entire Department over the next year or so they began by telling us we had just had our best year ever. So by that measure you should be safe there for quite a while if you keep screwing off.

Arwen - OH, well that's better...of course, I was the funniest guy (or weirdest, anyway) in our department. But we all got the boot (although some are still there through April 16th and a couple will be left to turn out the lights sometime at the end of May or mid-June). But I'm sure you will be ok, because bookkeeping is something that will probably always have a certain amount of demand. Product specific Support Reps, ehhh...probably not...And I'm not really interested in telling people that their replacement paper will be there before 10 am, I don't see much intellectual challenge or pay in that scene.
Speaking of intellectual stimulation...I decided today that I need to find a new job. There is nothing more boring than accounting...that is why I got a degree in English. Because I don't like numbers. What was I thinking? So...off to the classifieds for me...I can be the most popular and the funniest girl at work somewhere else.
Arwen - Amen to that...I take it you decided on the leap BEFORE my comment. Actually, it sounds like you have it under control, checking the classifieds while STILL on the payroll with a job. Working people are more attractive to prospective employers than lousy, lay-about, unemployed, too old people like me...(boo-hoo)(just kidding with the excess whining at the end there).
yeah...i've been thinking about it for a while...i make WAY too little money. bleah. i need to save some money...so that is why i moved back home to wyoming...and...i took a HUGE paycut...so...i'm really not doing any better than i was in utah...and my job is lame!

(ABC W) Well, how about that...I get to read this again now that I am back at work somewhere...in roughly the same field as before although not exactly - different software, different work environment (smaller company - more urban location - I happen to like those features, actually), different job responsibilities, too. It's "Temporary" (thru March 15th), but then, what job is really "Permanent:" these days??? Still like your parody a lot...are you still at that later job from July?
