Parody Song Title:

"Rollercoaster Land"

Parody Written by:

Adagio

The Lyrics

Roller coaster's fine
'Til it climbed.
Slats became blur
Now I'm grim,
Light's are dim.

I'll sue things go wrong.
Love, it's strong?
"That's what I thought"
Feeling eeww.
Gut thought it'd spew.

Don't know if I will
But who will sit beside me?
Wonder who'll stay?
And who'd stay safe behind me.
I'll be shut of damn...
Damn roller coaster land.
Roller coaster land.

I've had it to here,
Bein' where screams can't be heard.
Anchor ring,
Where's that thing?

'Round curves we do run,
Heavin' hurls until we're through.
Ride's too long
Weak, not strong.

Shown top of that hill,
But ill will it may find me.
But here I'll stay
It won't play and unwind me.
I'll be shut of damn...
Damn roller coaster land.
Roller coaster land.

Don't know if I'll hurl
But who will sit beside me?
Wonder who'll stay?
And who'd stay safe behind me.
I'll be shut of damn...
Damn roller coaster land.
Roller coaster land.
Roller coaster land.
Roller coaster land.

Sounds like you've been having your ups and downs lately. If you are taller then 5 feet 5.5 inches you can ride this parody.

"I'll be shut of damn" needs the adagio-translator, but overall I felt like I was in the seat beside ya, adagio - 555

(as the wind blows his hair back he holds his arms up over his head and screams at the top of his lungs...) "FIIIIIIIIIIIIIVES !!!!!"

Hehehe, Johnny!!!

I agree with you I don't like rollercoasters either because of the drop and loud high pitched screams. Also this parody reminds me of Jay The Weird's parody of Round Round by The Sugababes called "I Hate The Big Rides".

(ABC) Interesting observations as always.

R05- Rollercoasters don't bother me, I love them. However, those "Whirl And Hurl" rides do which was almost my entry this round ("Riding the 'Whirl'"). Great job here Pat.

(ABC05) - hey Pat, it just occurred to me that this may have been the inspiration for this...
http://www.amiright.com/parody/80s/billyjoel169.shtml

too coincidental otherwise - hmm, I probably should've credited you ;-)

and, rereading the comments, "I'll be 'through with' damn" doesn't leave me any better off, I'm afraid, but thanks for the inspiration :-)

Hey Stu...sweet thing, your parody is much, much funnier! No need to credit. I think you'd have to credit everyone here.

One last try...I just divided this sentence:
I'll be shut of damn...
Damn roller coaster land.

It actually reads: I'll be shut of damn...Damn roller coaster land."
"I'll be thru with that damn rollercoasterland.", in other words.

ABC- Well done, Adagio. Perfect companion parody to my park I'm creating in Rollercoaster Tycoon.
