The Lyrics

This started out as a Christmas spoof and ended up as an AIR tribute. Take what the muse gives you.....

The mood is light, the laughter's up
We're Am I Right, we've got the stuff
Simply loving the Am I Right spoofer's rhymes
Nifty punning, the Am I Right rhymer's lines

We got some tomes, from Turtle here
And now they come, with Fiddle dear
Some collab-ing of fun-derful bits sublime
Is she dabbling in pun-derful bliss this time

That Old Man Ribber zings in song
Zings on ding dongs
In songs, ching, ooo-oo-ooo-oo-oo
ooo-oo-ooo-oo-oo-ooo-oo-doo-doo-dooo

[it's-true-mental break]

Nifty punning, the Am I Right rhymer's lines
Simply loving the Am I Right spoofer's rhymes

You'll never pout, with Timmy 'round
He'll make you laugh, hah, smiles abound
Glibly mapping original Christmas rhymes

Admire the writers and their songs
They're spoofing all year long
Leo, S.P.
J. B., Scotti
DJ, he he, ho ho, ha ha

It's Airfarcewon, the duke of puns
And TJC, lex-cell-ent-ly
Then we have here Andria and sometimes
We'll see Christie and Andy who is Prim(us)

[more it's-true-mental break]

The spoof is tight, it's Alvin's, yup
2Eagle flies, Oh, Jack's a pup
Oh, it's me having a wonderful silly time
Simply loving the Am I Right spoofer's rhymes
Nifty punning, the Am I Right rhymer's lines

Ohh-ohhh-ohhh-ohh
Ohh-ohhh-ohhh-oh
Am I Right

.
'Am I Right' as a sub for 'wonderful?'.....works for me. ;-)

I love it... esp. the OMR portion. Terrific tribute to a great bunch of folks (who think quite highly of you as well!) :D

Great-stuff-well-put-together, Blackjack! And, hey, thanks for the nod!
Andy Prim(us) - December 17, 2009 - Report this comment
Works for me as well! I wouldn't describe myself as prim though. I'm the opposite - I only disapprove of *really* improper things (like Wacko with his little chums, if you know what I mean) :D

Very well constructed...appreciate the royal promote..

Kristof's Arithmetic: Parody namedropping= vote-winner....I know, I've done it enough myself. Wonderful writing, and oh so shameless brown nosing; YAY!!! 555

OMR: Gesundheit! ;-)
Mark: If you're happy, I'm happy!
Jack: You certainly have a way with words, thanks!
FG: Thanks, but they only think of me when they're high? Odd. ;-)
TJC: Thanks, and you're most welcome.
Andy: Do you pronounce your name Prim or Prime, I've always said it as Prime.
AFW: Thanks, I started to make you king but that would have set off a political firestorm. ;-)
Kristof: Thanks, one AIR trib a month, whether I need it or not, lol.

Great song and tribute to some of my favorites - and to all of the writers on the site.

Thanks for the mention- and the great parody, too. 5s, and as for Andy Primus' surname, I always think of it as "Pree-mis", rhyming with "Bemis", like the portable bottle-gas appliances, although prim as in primrose or prime as in prime rib could be correct too.

Works for me, too, who always takes what the muse gives - weird though it sometimes be :-D .. btw, is "muse" the same as "aliens"? .... DKTOS, but I like you better then McCartney (on his own) anyway. (How's that for brown-nosing, KR?) 555.

@ Andria: Primus = first, also the first-ranked bishop of Scotland, from the Latin "primus" = first, and first syllable is indeed as in prime rib or sub-prime loan.

Tributes are always nice, what's always fun about these is seeing who people tribute, kinda gives you an idea of where their influences are from. 555
Andy Primus - December 18, 2009 - Report this comment
I was only joking - it was because of the way it was written Prim(us), not the way it would be sung!
It's not my real surname - it's the name of one of the few 'modern' rock bands that I really rate. They have a totally unique sound (unlike most modern bands, who all sound the same to me) - and it is pronounced Prime as in prime rib.

Timmy 1k: Thanks, too many faves to get into one song, that's for sure.

Andria: You're welcome, thanks for the prime v/c's.

TT: I don't know, but the muse is often fickle, thanks v/c and b/n. ;-)

BAD: Way too many influences to fit into one song, no shortage of talent on this site. And I think it also tends to be the people you interact with on a daily basis through the votes and comments. Thanks!

Andy: Primus eh? Do they have any songs on Guitar Hero? ;-D
