The Lyrics

This fish bowl imagery was just too strong to withstand.
So,
So you think I can't tell
A fin from tail
A gill from scale.
Can't I tell a fat trout from a cold shrimp's shell?
An ocean from lake?
You don't think I would tell...

And I would gladly trade my limbs for the scales.
The trees for seaweeds. Hot air's not what I need.
I'm trying to change. And I would exchange
a walk on legs in the park for a short swim in a sea...

How I wish,
how I wish I was fish.
We'd be two carp souls
Swimming in a fish bowl,
- no Earthy leash
binding to the dry old ground.
In water I found
home for my soul -
I wish I was fish

Some great lines, hampered by pacing hiccups and attempting to ryhme "lake" with everything in the first verse. Pretty clever all around though . 454
