The Lyrics

Originally going to be Monday but Saturday wouldn't have fit. Also I had to sacrifice bit of pacing to fit certain words.
Sunday, I'm awake
Done a great job in good day and I'm okay.
Monday, its a drag
Stole a stash in old pants and ran a dash
Tired, everyday, had a daydream,
Think I'll buy me a baseball team

Tuesday, come back
I'm on right track 'till you strayed out of the pack
Wednesday, took a hit
Don't give me that damn smelly ragged up snow mitt
I got the high-fidelity wide-screen television set
And to think I fear the Mets

Thursday, there's a crime
Done it myself but don't waste a slice of my time
Friday, so they say
Is the root of all weekend today
But if you ask for a raise its no surprise that they're
Sacking us today

Huhuh! I was in a fight!
Yes, absolutely in a fight!
I certainly have seen the light!
It was definitely in the night. That cheater was cruising for a
Bruising!
Yeah!
Why won't anyone do anything?
Well I know, they're all really drunk at the time!
I was just telling them, you couldn't push yourself number 2. They were asking
Why wasn't it coming down on free time, after I was yelling and
Screaming and telling him why it wasnt coming out on free time
It came out a heavy blow, but we flushed the matter out
Some people do work on Sundays.

I don't get the deal with all the one-votes; I had no problem whatsoever picturing the parody-lyrics being sung to the OS. This was pretty good!

This was good...I expected a football parody when I saw Sunday. Nice job matching with the OS.

SOTM - Interesting idea, but needs more LOL lines.

Even on one of your better ones you get one bombed by those stinkin' bass turds! Good work here Max, not hilarious, but better than a lot of your work.

(SOTM) I'd like to see you take a bit more effort at changing meanings of the lyrics as well as the words. ("baseball team"/"football team" for example). Even with the spoken words at the end: "cruising for a bruising" just cries for some sort of substitution.

(SOTM) The pacing didn't work for me. But I thought it weas funny how well some of the lyrics matched up, so I have to give you points there. 255

(SOTM) Needed more lulz to the lines, but paced well throughout.

Maybe not SOTM, but surely SOTW (Song Of The Week). :-)

SOTM - It read like stream of consciousness prose. It paced well, but just seemed too random for me. 534

(SOTM) Severe lack of teh lulz, and there didn't seem to be a real point, but this was nicely paced, so you get credit there.
Stuart McArthur - January 30, 2009 - Report this comment
(SOTM) a bit random, Max, and some of the rhymes were quick fixes (eg. snow mitt) but I had no trouble following it to the OS - 555

(SOTM) I didn't see the pacing issue that you forewarned us about Max, to be honest my problem here was a lot of the original song stuck around without changing it's meaning, and it kinda got me lost in several spots, I didn't see the central theme to the parody, or what you were going for. . .sorry guy, still don't understand your ones bombing though . . .
