The Lyrics

Track 2 of "The Pile of Bricks".
You're five years old baby
In one month or two
And you're having lots of fun little baby
And Sesame Street is cool
Goo goo goo goo babe
Goo goo goo goo, baby goo
Goo goo goo goo goo goo babe
It's time to get started
On the true hell of school of school life
Dragging behind you your Muppet lunchbox
With a thermos and two Moon Pies
Don't you be bad, and don't you dare swear
And use good English while you're there
Now step out of the house and see what you'll find
It's time to go to school, now ain't that nice?

This is a good parody. Kind of funny and it had great pace with the original. Also it had lots of potential you used it well. I find itvery hard to parody a very serious song when it's done by Pink Floyd can you help me out?

Led/Floyd---it's kind of difficult to give advice about how to write a funny parody, especially if you plan to be autobiographical AND funny. Just try to open up your mind to ridiculous concepts...Johnny D often relies on "news of the weird" for ideas. Anything funny about your life that you could utilize? Try this for practice--pick a song--any song--and fill in the meter and rhyme scheme with words that just don't make sense. That has led to many of my parodies, such as The White Album parody which you could also look up.
