The Lyrics

This will probably be my first successful Lord of the Rings parody. I'm hoping everyone enjoys it.
**Meriadoc Brandybuck**
Is this the real ring?
Is this just fantasy?
Hobbits and Kings fight
This could not be reality
Two hobbit guys
Named Frodo and Sam, you see
Gandalf the Wizard talks intelligently
Because the King has come, Ring must go
A little town called Mordor
They run into Bilbo Baggins, Frodo's uncle, you see, you see

**Gandalf the Grey**
Frodo, put out your hand
This made Bilbo disappear
Now I'm weary, need a beer
Frodo, life has just begun
So, please don't go and throw it all away
Frodo, ooo
Yes, this Ring must be destroyed
If I'm not back again this time tomorrow
Carry on, carry on, right into the land of Mordor

**Frodo**
Gandalf, Can Samwise come?
Sam Gamgee is my friend
He'll stick with me till the end
Goodbye little hobbits - I've got to go
Gotta leave you all behind to slay the Loop
Gandalf, ooo - (Frodo, Sam, and Bilbo)
I don't want to die
I sometimes wish it'd never been 'round at all

(Guitar solo)

I see a little silhouetto of a man

**Wizard background singers**
Aragorn, Aragorn, and an elf named Legolas
Neverending fighting - very very frightening me

**Frodo**
Merry, Pippin! Bilbo Baggins!
Samwise Gamgee, Mr. Strider,

**Sam**
Mr. Frodo, Sir Frodo - Mr. Frodo

But I'm just a poor hobbit, I'm Samwise Gamgee

**Black Riders**
He's just a poor boy from a poor family
He is not he who shall bear such a ring

**Gandalf**
Saruman, evil one - will you let me go

**Saruman**
Sir Gandalf! No - we will not let you go (let him go)
Sir Gandalf! We will not let you go (let him go)
Sir Gandalf! We will not let you go (let him go)
Will not let you go - (let me go!) (never)
Farewell to Frodo (let me go)
Never let you go - ooo
No, no, no, no, no, no, no -

**Gandalf**
Oh Mr. Frodo, Mr. Gamgee,

**Black Riders**
Mr. Wizard let him go
Lord Sauron has a devil put aside for he
for he
for he

(Guitar solo; Gandalf falls to his "death" until The Two Towers)

**Sam Gamgee**
So you think you can kill Gandalf, leave him to die
So you think that this Ring must never be destroyed
Oh Frodo - Lose this Ring, Mr. Frodo
Then we can get out - we can just get right outta here

(Guitar solo; Frodo reluctantly throws the Ring into the fire)

**Frodo**
Ooh yeah, ooh yeah
Gandalf's still alive, yes
Sam now has a mate
Sam is now a husband - I'm back in the Shire, you see

Aragorn's the King now...

Purty good, Chris. I would have made the lines in the first verse "Two hobbit guys/Frodo and Samwise, you see./ to keep the rhyme scheme consistent with the original. But that would have put the emphasis on the wrong syllable in "Frodo" so it's good either way. Great job! 555

Nice job. 5-5-4 because you put forth lots of effort, and there are many areas that shine like the precious. Some logical errors plus some pacing issues were my reasoning for '4' overall. For instance, I wouldn't really call Mordor a 'little town', or maybe I'm just missing your intended irony. Oh, and my favorite line by far was "Gandalf, ooo - (Frodo, Sam, and Bilbo)".

5-5-5, not because every syllable's pacing is perfect, but because the pacing is close enough often enough, and because I love the subject matter and greatly respect the immense effort you clearly put into this. Well done. Elbereth Gilthoniel!

What the hell was that all about?

5-4-4. Nice job, and how can I resist a parody that has my name at the beginning? :-D
