The Lyrics

Comes a time, every Amirighter has to step up to the plate...
Is this my Big Fight?
One challenge left for me
Need to earn my stripes
I'll be taking on "Rhapsody"
Fear in my eyes
You might sympathise with meeee
Mentally tongue-tied; lacking verbosity
It might be cheesy, dumbEasy? No!
But I'll try, have a go
Even if this song blows,
Don't think Brian May will sue me
Sue me

Um, ahI have began
(That's grammatically a sin;
Should've used "begun", as in..
"Mama, life had just BEGUN")
I'm messing this up- ain't even half-way
Um, ahdoo-be-doo (??)
Didn't think I'd have to try
Was sure I'd have this finished by tomorrow
Carry on, carry onor my rep will be in tatters

Alright; let's concentrate
I'll nail it, line by line
And I'll try hard not to whine
Looking for an angle; it's tough, y'know
I could try Shakespeare, but it's been doneforsooth!
Um, ahooooooh (I'll come back and change this)
This ain't gonna fly
I'm waiting for the Parody P'lice to call

I'll try a little bitta ghetto slang right here
"Yo byatch! Yo byatch!
She's a nasty, wack thang, bro!"
Strike me down with light'ningI could use some smitingGeez!
Disarray-o (Disarray-o)
Disarray-o (Disarray-o)
Throw away me big ego; crapifico-o-o-o
Bring me a po' boy, hash browns and coffee
(He wants a po' boy, or foot-long BLT!)
Those last two lines have no reason to be

Cheesy, dumbEasy? No! That's been used befo'
It's FILLER! Yo- it has been used befo' (used befo'!)
It's FILLER! It has been used befo' (used befo'!)
It's FILLER! I'm starting to get bored (getting bored!)
Getting really bored (really bored!)
Really freakin' bored (so freakin' bo-o-o-ored)
No more, no more, no more, NO!
Mama mia, gonorrhea, nice to see ya, where is Flo?
Beelzebub (I'll put something in here later) me.dear meDEAR ME!

Well, I think that it's turned out quite good in the end
Yes, I think that I've fooled all my Amiright friends
No? Maybe?I won't be a cry-baby!
Tell it to me straighttell it to me straight what you think

[Thank heavens for the GUITAR SOLO]

I'm not tot'lly satis-
-fied, but it's complete
Queen's left me in tatters
Step up, the next battersI'm beat

Anyway, the worm turns

Very good, Kristof. As shown by my catalogue, I've always had a fondness for parodies about parodies. It's kind of funny, though, since I actually found Bo Rhap easy when I did it. (see "The Infomercial Song" if you're curious) But this was very clever. I especially liked the grammar correction part and the ghetto slang.

BRAVO !!! Well done, KR --- you're carrying on in the twisted tradition of my old BoRap parody, "Sick of Bohemian Rhapsody"! ;-) 555
2Eagle - July 04, 2006 - Report this comment
Good one. Did you ever start off with one song parody and end up writing another?
Silver Power - July 04, 2006 - Report this comment
Okay, I'll tell it to you straight…tell it to you straight what I think.

I loved it, it was really funny. All 5's.
Lionel Mertens - July 04, 2006 - Report this comment
This one was smooth forsooth. 5's.
Adagio - July 04, 2006 - Report this comment
Very good, very funny! If you DID have trouble with it (didn't seem like it), pick a theme and it goes faster, even an obscure tv show like X-Files. I wrote mine to that. 5's
AFW - July 04, 2006 - Report this comment
Some very funny organized rambling, here....555

Why do you use keywords from my parodies? Are you trying to say something?
Kristof Robertson - July 04, 2006 - Report this comment
Cat: Thanks, sweetie! I didn't really find it that hard, but this is a favourite theme of mine...I'll check yours out
JD: I guess I'll check yours out as well..(sheesh!) ;-)
2eagle; Like, all the freakin' time! Cheers
Silver: Much appreciated, SP!
Lionel: Graciath, mithter!
Adagio: Well, I promised to read cat's and Johnnie's, so..[rolls eyes]. Thanks, babe!
AFW: Rambling? I thought it was VERY coherent. ;-) Lionel (again): HUH?

Cheers, all!!!

Wow... just wow.... This has to be one of the best, yet utterly worthless parodies that I've ever read in my life... Next to Filler of course... Heh
Lionel Mertens - July 04, 2006 - Report this comment
Well Kristof it just seems like it that's all.
Stuart McArthur - July 04, 2006 - Report this comment
yep, you fooled THIS Amiright friend, Kristof...and where the hell IS Flo? (now you've got me worried) - nice to see you taking on BoRap Kristof, and joining the 2006 trend of self-referential parody-process parodies - *taps fingers* still waiting for American Pie though ;-) - 555
kaitlyn haugh - July 04, 2006 - Report this comment
masterpiece the end
Red Ant - July 04, 2006 - Report this comment
Wow, this is sweet. Cat picked out my faves, too (the grammar and ghetto slang parts). 555. And yeah, you've still got "Pie" to do.

Oh, by the way, I think I did "Bo Rhap" a while back. Now, where is that URL? ;-)
Phil Alexander - July 05, 2006 - Report this comment
This is good, Kristof, but (I hope you don't mind me saying) some way from your best. It's your fault, you know: you shouldn't set the bar so high ;-) I did like the "It's filler" sub, though.
Kristof Robertson - July 05, 2006 - Report this comment
Matthias: Ah, I see you know my work! ;0) Thanks, dude

Lionel: PM me, mate, coz I'm not really sure what you're referring to

Stu: If I knew where Flo was, I wouldn't have to ask, would I? :-) As for AP...give me a break, will ya? Thanks, amigo

Kaitlyn: Thanks a bunch the end

Red Ant: You too? I'm getting enough grief from McArthur...send me that URL, all are welcome. :-)

Phil (you get the LONG reply): No, mate, I don't mind you saying that at all; my ego's not THAT fragile. I don't set out to write the best parody ever each time (Gosh, that sounds big-headed!), just whatever comes into my seriously disturbed little mind on any given day. Some'll kick ass, some'll be "meh..." and some will royally suck. That's the fun part of being a parody writer.
As for that bar, I'm taking it down and replacing it with a bouncy castle; much more entertaining! Thanks for the feedback, friend!

I can only hope that I'm half as funny when I finally break down and do BoRap. 555

I'm slooowly getting to learn the OS from the bits and bobs I hear on the radio or at parties. From what I know, your rhyme matches were hilarious. Great, erm, 'theme', as well...
Agrimorfee - July 10, 2006 - Report this comment
So I tackled American Pie in a post-modern way, now KR has had a crack at BoRap. What's next? Loved it, Kristof. 555

Well, that's the good thing about mulitple opinions--the 16 of us who actually read the song--didn't vote 1s
Stuart McArthur - December 30, 2006 - Report this comment
(ABC3N) see above, and all the trademark Kristofian wit is there (forsooth - LOL!) but this is a little too self-conscious for me to rank it amongst your classics, KR, which is hardly a put-down - it's just that I like your wacky absurd non-self-referential stuff better - ie. beaten only by yourself!
Matthias - December 31, 2006 - Report this comment
See above, again I repeat that that worm is turing like mad, as mad as this parody that is

(ABC) See above...I had forgotten that I'd commented on this! On a second read, really loved the "Thank heavens for the GUITAR SOLO!" interjection.
