The Lyrics

harry, we enjoy, magic, oh boy
plainly its deceit...gotta be some slick plan in play
you got chains that embrace...you're trapped in place
fidgety hands can't help you escape
singin', we will, we will lock you...we will, we will lock you

harry, you're a sunk man, look, man
how ya gonna cheat ?...gonna shake off those irons some way ?
gonna get 'em unlaced...with lithesome grace ?
twistin' and squirmin' all over the place ?
we will, we will lock you...singin'..we will, we will lock you

harry, you're a bold man, oh man
squeezin' once or twice gonna get you released some way ?
you look calm in the face...heart don't race
your body better have some slack...more than a trace
we will, we will lock you...singin'...we will, we will lock you
everybody...we will, we will lock you

i don't share clues...maybe in time
i've no apprentice...this act is all mine
make no mistake...its magic, i'll brew
more than just sleight-of-hand, that's commonplace
but this is brand new

and its time to go on...and don...these bonds...anon

whee, i'm unshackled...again
so quick, that's its frightenin'...in the end
whee, i'm unshackled...whee, i'm unshackled
no time, i'm loosened, then whee, i'm unshackled
and unfurled

you might wonder why...i do this at all
its brought me fame and fortune
the people seem to go for it...i fill these halls
i confound your diagnosis..leave you confused
i consider it a challenge to render you so amazed
that i get your goose

and its time to go on...and don...these bonds...anon

whee, i'm unshackled...again
and these chains, you tightened, seem to bend
whee, i'm unshackled...whee, i'm unshackled
no time, i'm loosened, then whee, i'm unshackled
and unfurled

whee, i'm unshackled...again
and its so excitin' to attend
whee, i'm unshackled...whee, i'm unshackled
no time, i'm loosened, then whee, i'm unshackled......

The Great Houdini would be proud of this, alvin...as you should be. Beautifully paced, as usual, and a fine tribute to the greatest escape artist of all time. 5's+

Excellent, Alvin...=) I read the titles and thought for sure it was going to be about marriage/ball and chain and divorce/sweet freedom...; ) I like this even better!

"Harry!: A Rock Musical", written by Alvin Rhodes to the music of Queen, coming to Broadway! Very nice. 555

Youdunna Houdini here, man...Great job of varying the verse lyrics throughout and telling a full story here. 5's ~ ~ ~

Very clever! -- Harry Potter in "The Prisoner of Ass Kiss Banned"... Even darker bondage themes for the older kids... I'm thinking your inspired parody is adumbrating the much anticipated eighth book when Harry joins the Order of the Dominatrix...right out of thigh school!

Great subject, Houdini...the David Blaine of his time...and in the realm of your parody, you have helped him come back, as he said he would...this is a weave of magic

I'm sorry, alvin! Feel like a dolt... I jumped to the (unforgivable?) conclusion that this was about the "Little Hangleton's Graveyard" scene in Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire where Harry is (duh!) chained to a tomb and must escape... I hate to think what it says about me when this pops into mind rather than the Great Houdini...so, to quote SNL's/Gilda Radner's Emily Litella..."Never mind!"

Magically grand. You are the champion. Trivia question: What was Houdini's real name?

Clever clever stuff, Al....a great (set of) title spins...and a perfectly executed double parody. No escaping from the fact that this is pure class. 555

Heh heh - I was guessing from the title that it was going to be about someone clamping your car... :-D
