The Lyrics

AMAZING! Wow.
Beneath three crosses
Dark day on Calvary
Earth quaking landslide
(and) Roman brutality
Tears in my eyes
Black thundering skies above me

I'm just his follower
Maybe they won't kill me

They whipped his back
Beat his head
Stabbed his heart
Left him dead
Now I go where he goes
My life doesn't matter to me
(to me)

Father
They Killed your Son
Crown of thorns upon his head
Nailed him up and now he's dead
Father
His reign had just begun
Now they've gone and thrown it all away
Father, Why?
Did you have to let him die?
I cannot bear to face the sun tomorrow
Kill me now, take me now
Nothing really matters

Too late
His time had come
Sends shivers down my spine
Body's aching like I'm dying
Now they're going to kill us
Why'd he have to go?
He left us all behind to face the truth

Father, Why?
(I will go where he goes)
Now I want to die
Now I wish I'd never been born at all
_____________
I see the tomb yet I do not see the stone there
Run to the tomb, yes the stone is rolled away now
Angel dressed in white
their faces shine like lightning
See!

He is risen (He is risen)
He is risen (He is risen)
He is risen from the tomb (grave)
Magnifico -o-o-o (He is not here)

Earthquake and angels coming down from heaven
His keepers did shake and they became as dead men
Christ is alive, you will see in Galilee

Come you and see
the place where the lord lay
(You) FEAR NOT!
Hallelu_yah Amén
Adonai___!
(You) FEAR NOT!
Hallelu_yah
Adonai___!
(You) FEAR NOT!
Hallelu_yah
Adonai___!
Hallelu_yah
He's alive!
(He will) never never ever die____!

Ha le lu Ha Le Lu YAH!

Oh halleluYah HalleluYah
HalleluYah Adonai
The devil couldn't keep him in the tomb
HE LIVES!
HE LIVES!!!
HE LIVES!!!!!

So you thought you could keep Yahweh's Son in the grave?
I have smashed death and hell and I'm coming to save
You__ receive me
Why did you not believe me?
Just Like I said:
I had to rise from the dead

Ohhh___
Yea YAH!
Yeah YAH!
Oooohhhhh

END:
Teach them to observe
All that I've commanded
And lo I'm with you always
Even to the end of the age
A___men
Yahshua is risen!

YHVH - Thank you for this one. Great job, and a series of such parodies would be a light (and delight) to many. ;D

Reminds me of a charming performance of "Godspell" I saw at a local church the other day. Nice job.

A good song for a modern congregation. The original disciples used the idiom of their time to spread the message. You are using to good effect the idiom of our time.

Good work on the parody. Pacing was off in some places; kind of a tough song to do a parody to, though.
