Parody Song Title:

"Railing"

Parody Written by:

Susanna Viljanen

The Lyrics

Rod Steward is a notable miniature railways enthusiast.
I am railing, I am railing
home again, along the steel
I am railing, HO scale-ing
all that beauty I can feel

I am building, I am building
small scale landscape, towns and streets
I am building, tracks and bridges
dales and mountains, what a treat!

Can you hear it? Can you hear it?
Through the tunnels, far away
Hear the choo-choo, see the train crew
It's a small world, so to say

Can you hear it? Can you hear it?
Through the tunnels, far away
Hear the choo-choo, see the train crew
It's a small world, so to say

We are railing, we are railing
home again, along the steel
we are railing, HO scale-ing
all that beauty we can feel
Oh Lord, all that beauty we can feel
Oh Lord, all that beauty we can feel
Oh Lord, all that beauty we can feel, oh Lord

IIRC there’s a YouTube video that shows the entire layout. At one time he may have had another setup that ran outside along the sidewalk to the front door.
