The Lyrics

I think this one is pretty self explanitory. Sorry if the lie's get a little repetitive, but they ARE necessary.
He's just a rich boy, knowing not of sweat or toil
And he owes his despotism to some fields full of his dad's oil
Bush's government
All lies and jest, while the press reports as they are told and disregards the rest....
Well he went to Yale and to Harvard school, barely passing, mostly C's
When your daddy's rich and pow'rful, you can slack off, cheat and even own a baseball team
Coke and beers, you can join the Army Rangers, serve your country like your peers,
And then take a short vacation for two years.

Lie lie lie, lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie, lie lie lie, lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie, lie lie lie lie lie.

Because daddy was the president, took Poppa Bush's job
But was not elected.
Just a "you're in!" from the judges on the Supreme Court.
I do declare, given time and opprotunity, he'll put more puppets there, lie lie lie lie...
(Ironically Patriotic Trumpet Solo)
Lie lie lie, lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie, lie lie lie, lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie, lie lie lie lie lie.

He declared war on Saddam Hussein, but he had no concrete proof, made it up...
Using New York City's tradgedy, exploiting it...Excuses...no UN...
In the White House stands a liar, a usurper of the throne,
But he's a living reminder of every vote that he ignored
We can't rest 'till he cries out, in his stupor and his shame,
"I am leaving, I am leaving!" but the liar still remains...
Lie lie lie, lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie, lie lie lie, lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie, lie lie lie lie lie.

Lie lie lie, lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie, lie lie lie, lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie, lie lie lie lie lie.

Lie lie lie, lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie, lie lie lie, lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie, lie lie lie lie lie.

I admire anyone that dares write a parody to this song, and you did a great job though I do not adhere to your politics

Fair enough, I only ask to be rated fairly, I you can believe whatever you want politically. Thanks for the compliment :-)

If Bush had his way, S&G's "The Sound of Silence" would be our national anthem. Great job. (You, not Georgie.)

Charlie, I am surprised so few people commented on this fine piece, given that 22 voted (prior to me). I gave you all 5s, and you deserve them. Also, I think the low votes came (inappropriately) from folks who disagree with your political views. Good work!

Good parody - and I know how tricky "The Boxer" can be to parody - I posted a parody of "The Boxer" called "The Boxer".

Thank you very much for the comments. My only hope is that people rate my songs fairly regardless of their political views, but obviously that doesn't always happen.
