The Lyrics

I've written loads of Harry Potter parodies. Thought I'd possibly post a couple here, since there seem to be a few HP fans around :)
McGonagall:
Please be wary, don't stand tall
When peers repeat her lies
Don't deny them all
I'm on your side
Oh, but times are tough
Her spies are all around
If Umbridge has you troubled, Potter,
Keep your temper down
If Umbridge has you troubled, Potter,
Keep your temper down

Please don't storm and shout
Or stamp your feet
When she derides your scar
Or teaches things untrue
Potter take heart
Oh, this time will pass
The truth just can't be bound
If Umbridge has you troubled, Potter,
Keep your temper down
If Umbridge has you troubled, Potter,
Keep your temper down

Hold on Wonderboy
Don't ask why
The time will come to fight
But that day is not today
You must get by
Oh, take a biscuit, boy
And don't think me unkind
If Umbridge has your troubled, Potter,
Keep my words in mind
If Umbridge has your troubled, Potter,
Keep my words in mind

Very nicely done. Post some more of your Potter parodies, I'd like to see them!

The pacing for your first stanza is off when comparing your lyrics to the original. Having said that, I must admit that the overall effort of simply magical, Umbridge is the one character I despise the most. I think in many respects she is just as bad as Voldie, but that's just my opinion. Your parody isn't funny, but it tells the tale exceedingly well. So, I guess I will have to give you a 4 for pacing (I really hate to do that), a 5 for creativity (renaming the Funny category here), and a 5 for your over all effort. Believe me when I say, I know how much effort goes into writing an HP parody. I always want to put so much more information into the song than it will allow. Congratulations on your piece and I hope to see more from you soon. ^-^

I hear by decree as Headruler section 304: Hogwarts students shall not write parodies about Umbridge and post them on Amiright. Anyone seen doing this will go directly to detention so we can make things write. ---A Note By The Poster--- Just kiddin' Hellen, great parody.

Most excellent! McGonagall's one of my favorite characters, and Bridge Over Troubled Water is one of my favorite songs. Great job putting them together!
