Original Performer:

Simon and Garfunkel

Parody Song Title:

"Memorabilia"

Parody Written by:

Michael Pacholek

The Lyrics

Deal ya
in baseball-card store.
a golf ball that is signed by John Daly.
Memorabilia
like pads on the knees
of Manning, big cheese.
Take it home.

Deal ya
in baseball-card store
a helmet that's signed by Champ Bailey.
Memorabilia
like tape on the knees
of Namath, big cheese.
Take it home.

Take it home.

Selling stuff in the afternoon
memorabilia
in hotel ballroom.
(Selling stuff!)
Get it signed by Willie Mays.
When I came back to room
Ernie Banks took his place!

Deal ya
in baseball-card store
a football that is signed by Charles Haley.
Memorabilia
just send C.O.D.'s.
I'll waive all the fees
to your home.

To your home!

Hut-hut, hut-hut-hut!
Hut-hut, hut-hut-hut!
Hut-hut, hut, hut, hut-hut, hut-hut!

Kick it up, kick it up...

Kick it up, and it's good!

Jubilation!
Mays signed it again!
And it only cost me four hundred!
Jubilation!
Mays signed it again!
And it only cost me four hundred!

Whoa-oh-ohhhh-oh!
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh!
Whoa-oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-ohhhh!

Whoa-oh-ohhhh-oh!
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh!
Whoa-oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-ohhhh!
(repeat 'til fade)

Tell us Michael, do you write these baseboll ditties while watching games, or while waiting for the next game? :-)

I saw Willie Mays play as a kid...4 at bats and 4 outs.... 4 hundred? He had no hits, but this parody is one. Good job.

Hey Michael, now it's time to re-write this parody in the form of an ode to OJ Simpson's armed robbery, which involved memorabilia. If you don't do it, either I will try to write a parody or Darrell Wilhelm (my boyfriend of 6 months) will write one.
