I haven't posted any parodies in quite a while. I wrote this one and another one some time ago and decided that I'd post them both today. Time Warner Cable has a show on its FX station called "Justified" that stars Timothy Olyphant. Here's a link to a "Justified" web site:

Hope you enjoy the read. I don't know when I will be posting anything again, but I will still write but not any time in the near future

We are hillbilly,
Got my sister married to me.
See my fam'ly tree,
Ain't no fork in its wir-er-ing.

Simple hill folk, we,
All our cisterns hundred proof be.
We know husbandry,
Sheep and goats are great for a fling.

Cling our guns, you see how we're tethered,
Our glocks so apply.
(Why!) we ally like a herd sticks together,
Long as all comply.
('Palled) Some say it's feeble grillin' Spam™ filet,
Can chow be so gross?
They're tastin' great double deckered,
We eat ourself into overdose.

Ain't no wannabe,
We like stayin' a mys-ter-y.
Live our lives quite free,
Fast food is a road killin' thing.

We don't take kindly,
When the Feds try pullin' a sting.
Cash crop 'conomy,
Gettin' easy money's our thing.

Live our life with guns and that gets things done,
To keep our share of our world, we'll fight.
(High!) High dopes provide for our future.
It's like gold, alright.
(Gee!) No laws keep us repressed,
Feds pay their call on the holdin' fool.
One eighth to crew as they do for you,
Still folk brew strong,
We got our Stanley™ tools.

Bad economy,
We don't get no blisters for fee.
We make our mon-ey,
Sellin' vice to numbies with bling.

We are hillbilly,
Every honey's sisters with me.
We're all family,
Everybody's gene's on one string.

Thanks Farce & Sir John. Seems this new crowd doesn't know about the comments section. I've had 32 views and only my old fellow bards bother to comment. It is most appreciated.

Glad to see you back Guy. Great wordplay and jokes throughout. Especially enjoyed the 'husbandry' lines.

Good work, and glad to see you back. I rarely go on the internet anymore (long story), so no longer write parodies for the time being. Love the story line, it's totally different from the places where I grew up! 5s.

Glen & Andria - So glad that you enjoyed this. I really really appreciate your comments and for have taken the time to read this. I'm having kind of a tough time of it right now but I will be back sometime soon.

Glen, I have to laugh because you liked the "Husbandry" line and this is no joke. I'm looking at the security code and it reads, no SH**. The code reads "XXX" =;-) HA-HA!

Andria - You hang in there girl. Sorry to hear that you are no longer writing. I know how that feels. I've not written in over a year before I posted this andanother parody of late. I have you in my prayers always.

Thanks John and I got your email back. Never click on a link in an email unless you are absolutely sure about it.

I haven't been too active out here either like a lot of other people that used to write. I guess its just the times. One day I'll be back, but I miss that old crew. I put two parodies out this same day and they were the first in well over a year. The other one is a wiseguy parody on Carmine (2-LOUD).

Thanks for reading and commenting.

I've eaten many types of food, including some strange meats, everywhere I've been. However, in the southern states people eat one thing that I won't even touch. Hillbillies feast on prairie oysters - a.k.a. mountain oysters. They are HOG BALLS! Yeah, gross me out. Great parody but I'm a little surprized you omitted this.
Guy - June 27, 2012 - Report this comment
I grew up in Appalachia but have lived in the southern US for many years and I have never heard of prairie oysters although I got the gist just from the oyster part in your comment.

Sorry to disappoint for not mentioning this "HB treat" but an OS is just so long and just so much can be parodied with what is available.

Thnak you much for reading and commenting.

Merry! Many thanks for the accolades. So nice to see you again. The same back at you and Pip. I do plan on doing more writing sometime but when, who knows? I'm having a lot of turmoil in my life right now. Guess I better get started before Dec 21 rolls around - LOL.

It's been a while since you posted this. Hope you see this reply. I have a lot of great ideas but no time to sit down and get seriously funny about it. It's all due to timeless-ness, I guess. LOL again.

Guy: Please "get seriously funny" again as soon as you can! The site is all the poorer for your and others' absences. I enjoyed this also!
