"Tibbets, He Flew That Bomber"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

east, he went speeding...on his way
to drop a little wild fire...made from the sun
i guess he had prepared himself...it must be done
this act would tear the world apart

tibbets, he flew that bomber
didn't want to trust nobody else
setting off with his thoughts kept to himself
tibbets, he flew that bomber
'cross the ocean, it was flown
when unleashed, there would be no shelter
the warhead blown

they'd picked a certain town...to catch the flames
death would be arriving...the time unknown
god was on our side...so we claimed...i don't know
the damage done was off the chart

tibbets, he flew that bomber
it was deemed a mission meant for stealth
what became of this pilot's mental health ?
tibbets, he flew that bomber
as "enola gay" twas known
it was christened that for his mother
then off he roamed

you tell yourself, twas most unkind
this nation must have lost its mind
but truman claimed the plan was smart

tibbets, he flew that bomber
and a mighty city sadly fell
written off by a message straight from hell
tibbets, he flew that bomber
twas an act the brass condoned
in confusion, this land was shattered
then overthrown

tibbets, he flew that bomber
tibbets, he flew that bomber
tibbets, he flew that bomber

I didn't know Enola was gay. But both the Fat Man and the Little Boy said she was.

Very well done job on the epic, and tragic world war II, tale

Truman & Tibbets . . . I wouldn't be alive today without those two! I am descended from a ~US ARMY~ soldier on a troop ship in July of '45 awaiting his doom in the Invasion of Japan!

Sir Alvin, I thank you for reminding me of the reality of my existence!! Too many folks have long forgotten the desperation of WW-2; but soon the ~drums of desperation~ will sound again, as they must, when one refuses to remember the realities of this Life.

Alvin - Did I get you looling at Sreely Dan this week. I'm formulating one myself on this song. I know something interesting about where the first bomb was dropped on Hiroshima.

The only structure left staning in the city was a large Christian church. Only the outer shell remained - everything inside was toast. There is a memorial park on ground zero at a place called Atomic Memorial Park. If you are standing at ground zero there is a strange phenomenon where you cannot hear people standing right next to you. They play baseball there and if you are standing near where the sound area is between you and a baseball game a short distance away, you can hear any of the cheers and noise that go with a ball game. Scientists cannot explain it. It didn't happen where the 2nd bpmb was dropped. Makes you wonder. It is completely wierd to vist that place. It is simply an area that is void of sound and for no apparent reason ecept that the first bomb used in war was dropped there.

Nice piece of work here Alvin. One more SD from me tomorrow. I think you will like this one. It actually runs a story of sorts from the beginning to the end using the choruses in between to move the story along. Anyway - Fresh, thoughful and original. Wonderful job here.555 megaton voting here sir.
