The Lyrics

Comments greatly appreciated !!!(sung by Frodo)
I took the Ring and I took it down
Climbed Mount Doom and I turned around
and I saw my relfection in the lava-covered hills
hope the landslide won't bring us down

oh grey, cloudy sky this really sucks
can the eagles in the sky rise above
Now the Ring is destroyed, it has changed the tide
can we finally get home to the Shire

Well I've been 'fraid of Ringwraiths
but I'm so glad we survived
time makes you bolder
even Bilbo looks older
Sam's kids are older too

I took the Ring and I took it down
climbed Mount Doom then turned around
and if you see my reflection in the white sandy shores
the white gulls call me now
yeah the white gulls call me now

Just listened to TOS, and rated this 344. The 3 on pacing is because there are missed lines from TOS and some of the same lyrics from TOS. Not INCREDIBLY funny, but wothy of a 4 there and a 4 overall. DK if you have this CD, but if you were doing this parody from a lyrics sheet, alot of the time they are incomplete ( don't repeat choruses, leave out lead singers vocals/background vocals in spots, etc. ) Very good though while Stevie Nicks sings this, I believe ( though could be wrong ) that it was done with Fleetwood Mac. :)

How does anyone not know the original?! Anyway, a treat to see one of my very favorite songs gently parodied and not totally trashed!

Just like 'NickedUp' I'm so glad to see a decent, rather than insulting, parody of this wonderful song. The original lyrics are the pain, heartache, and life-long dreams of the writer put into gentle poetry. The author's love of mystical literature and fairytales makes this parody perfectly appropriate. Thank you for not destroying my song.

Hi everyone. I'm so fixated on Stevie Nicks that sometimes I actually THINK I'M HER.
