The Lyrics

Don't Know The OS? (Here's the Youtube Video): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAGuBw0eVTQ
Munching on bugs
Are the last things my teeth want to gri-ind

Moldy food full of moths
Down my throat
Musta lost my mi-ind

(Diner here is flies-cream cones)
Wasps frying, Beetles dried
(Plethora of bee drones)
Or weevils in baked pies
(I couldn't stop myself because)
I can't even try
I'm live upon 'Fear Factor'
Suggestions tell me to go chomp UPON THESE GUYS!!!

Cat Flea!
Insects Are Fried!!!
(Whiz* Spray with lice is across my plate)
(Swallowing bugs isn't all that great)
Insects are fried
(Pepperm-ants prime, much worse things I've ate)
(Potato bugs: Sour cream, and baked)

I've ate crickets in pasta and stew
Thursday Night

Tonight instead a cock-roast
Feeding me for dessert dust mites

(Feeling like I'm that Timon)
The Lion King guy
(Got munchies since I'm stoned)
So pass the fireflies
(I want to hear some Sting, because)
What's this I spy?
These hornets spell disaster
Want some cocoons, with a 'butter' taste inside

Aphid!
Insects are Fried!!!

Insects are fried, or are they saut'ed
For a Mantis bug, I've already prayed
Insects are fried, munch on these termites
Splintered my tongue, on these taste bites'

A meal of worms makes eyes dart
On the boat of my fishing crew

This lightening bug, shake n' baked
Or Monarchs filleted will do

(Bumblebees are good for bones)
Thus plenty I buy
(Cicadas top the salad bars)
With maggots on side
(Then I drink my brew)
On some earwigs I bite
I'd really like some answers
To the questionable tastes that I like

Yum! Yum!
Insects are Fried!
(Insects are fried, food from shop for bait)
(From shop for bait)
I like them fried
(Eat Chinese grub with chop-walkingsticks)
(A five star rate)
Oooh, yeah
I like them fried
(Insects fried, there a food more great?)
(A food more great)
They must be fried
(Suckers with worms I salivate)
They oughta be fried
(Ants with chocolate I'm popping eight)
They must be fried
(These bugs I ate)
(Chewing these bugs is quite awfully great)
(Insects fried are upon my plate)
(Insects fried good food for date)
(Losing your lunch may correlate)
(Insects fried helps to lose weight)

(SOTM) Never heard this song before. Thank goodness for the Youtube. You blew me out of the water with this one--laughs galore, ingenius rhymes, especially from the background vocals parts.

SOTM - I'd rather go on Fear Factor than hear that OS again, but that's part of your mindplaying game here, right? :-) *Fails to squeeze in beetlejuice joke in comment*.

(SOTM) You know me, I can't merely comment, so here goes. . . ."With maggots on side" has to be, um, the nastiest line in the song. . .it's too bad this song was not around back when Red Ant hosted his Gross-Out Competition--on second though--I may not have gotten second if it had been because this is creepily hilarious. I think my favorite line was "Splintered my tongue, on these taste bites" and not because I thought it was horridly clever, but because it tied well with the line immediately preceeding it, the whole crack about Termites, very cute--wait wrong word--but you get the picture. Now next time you have a desire to eat bugs, I suggest going to any mall oriental food place, they always manage to get a little extra nat in their Orange Chicken or whatever it is--As long as it tastes good right?

(SOTM) Fives from the nutcase who wrote " I Wanna Eat Cicadas " and " Breaded Fleas " !!

Oddly enough, my son (not normally the most cosmopolitan of eaters) tried locusts, and thought they were really tasty. The guy who was serving them up did say that you have to eat your insects very fresh as they'll go off very quickly (I think he meant within an hour or two, though the fresher the better). I don't know if they freeze well...

(SOTM) well this OS clearly divides the public, because I love it and always have - it was an eccentric leap to make to get from "Isn't It Time" to "Insects Are Fried" Matthias but a load of laughs once you did - I liked pepperm-ants the best - 555
Red Ant - February 27, 2007 - Report this comment
(SOTM) Lots of excellent bug puns here Matthias, but my favorites were "(Potato bugs: Sour cream, and baked)" and "Eat Chinese grub with chop-walkingsticks". Congrats too on the first submission of the song AND band. Just don't eat the PeppeRed Ant candy!. ;)
Tim Mayfield - February 27, 2007 - Report this comment
(SOTM) Yep, lots of good tie-ins to the bugs o' choice. Lovely selection of hors d'oeuvres.
