Parody Song Title:

"I Once Found a Shul"

Parody Written by:

Wendy Morrison

The Lyrics

"Shul" - synagogue. "Daven" - to pray. "kiddush" - snack after Sabbath morning services. "Shabbes" - the Sabbath.
I once found a shul
and I should say
it fit to a tee.
The folks were so cool
everyone there
welcoming me

They asked me to stay and they told me to pray anywhere
I plunked my tush down and I made some new friends sitting there

I sat on a pew,
passing the time
feeling sublime.
We davened til noon,
and then they said:
"Wouldja like to be fed?"

They invited me into the kiddush and gave me some wine.
We chanted a blessing on gefilte and herring combined;

And before I left,
I drank decaf,
we had a shmooze.
We had a good laugh
when Shabbes was done
sent in my dues.
