Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Christ Fever"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Mea maxima culpa, dudes.
Heard it on the news
They said somethin' 'bout the Jews
It's the Passion of the Christ
But I ain't seen it

So I jumped in my car
Stood in line and in the dark
After freezin' for an hour
I got me seated

Gospels of Michael
Of Paul, Luke and John
Remember 'em from Catholic school
The tension is risin'
And the movie's comin' on

Gettin' the Christ fever, Christ fever
Mel Gibson produced it
Show me that Christ fever, Christ fever
Heard it's causin' Jews fits

Here I am
Hope I don't get sick in the aisle
Man those frickin' Romans were vile
Torturing Him
Biblical sty-y-y-y-yle

Christ fever, Christ fever
Mel Gibson produced it
Watchin' them Christ beaters, Christ beaters
That's one gruesome movie

In Gethsemane, yeah
What's that, a woman dressed as Satan?
Think she stole the costume from
Ingmar Bergman
An idea came to mind
Maybe if priests were forced to watch it
Then they would not be molestin'
All them young 'uns!

Whippin's and bleedin'
Mel Gibson must like
He films 'em in super slo-mo
I didn't do it
But I'm feelin' contrite

Christ fever, Christ fever
Mel Gibson produced it
Watchin' them Christ beaters, Christ beaters
That's one gruesome movie

Here I am
Prayin' that this movie don't last
Watching torture really sucks ass
Why did I pay
Ten bucks per pass?

Christ fever, Christ fever
Mel Gibson produced it
Watchin' them Christ beaters, Christ beaters
That's one gruesome movie (Playin' at ev'ry local theater....)

Well done, Bob. The pacing is excellent. Did you see mine from a few days ago? http://www.amiright.com/parody/60s/thebeatles585.shtml

Yes, Mac, I did, and I thought it was very well done and thought-provoking. I believe your parody was the first about this particular movie, and mine is the second, so congrats. d;:^)

In the beginning
Bob created the rhythms and the mirth
Now the mirth was voteless yet Shempty
Darkness was over the empty comment sheet
But the Spirit of Bob was hovering over the monitor
And Bob said, "Let there be fives"
And there were fives
Bob saw that the fives were good

From Genesis 1, The New Amiright Bible

Well done! Let's see... Torture, whipping, Ingmar Bergman costume... three reasons NOT to see the movie!

Hey, wait a minute - torture, whipping, Ingmar Bergman costume - sounds like one of my older parodies..... "Tall Scary Heels And Leather".

Good job, Bob. I'm not sure when mac did his, but I posted my "Dedicated Savior In The Passion" back on February 19th. It pertained more to the actual crucifixion of Jesus, than to the film. Sheryl and I have tickets to see The Passion on Sunday. Really looking forward to it - bringing an industrial size box of Kleenex with us.

Gospel of 'Michael'? Bob, looks like you need to go back to the nuns for a few swats on the palm....hee hee. ;-D

The movie was bloody, graphic, and full of torture... simply horriffic! Being Italian, and Roman decendant ; I thought the Romans were the most brutal part the film. I don't recommend seeing this film. I closed my eyes and cried through most of it! There is no one to blame , as It was his mission to free all peoples from the grip of Satan. End of story.

Chris, how about deep-6-ing the spam. Did you even vote on any of the songs you're leaving you're advertizing at?
Chris - February 29, 2004 - Report this comment
Well Mr. Albino, yes I did vote for the songs I left comments for. As far as the spam goes, gotta get attention around here someway. No publicity is bad publicity.

Cute, funny, but I think you missed a couple of beats. Also, the Gospel writers were Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Paul wrote most of the Epistles, and Michael was an archangel. Good job, though. 4-4-4.
