"Jeremy Went Down to Alphaville"
The Lyrics
Jeremy went down to Alphaville, he was looking some words to make,
He was in the show, he was pretty slow, but he knows what it will take.
When he came across Casey Cat's friend, making letters is all she's got.
And Jeremy stepped on the big old stone, he said, "Sis, let me tell you what."
"I guess you didn't know it, but I'm a letter maker too.
And if you spell to make it well, I'll take a break for you.
Now you sing a pretty good alphabet, but let Jeremy do it too.
I'll bet the letters are cool to get to school because they think they'd let you through."
The frog said, "My name's Lily, and I'm Leap's big ol' sis.
So I'll take your break, your food is at stake, cause I'll be giving you your wish."
LIly, sing the alphabet and say the letters fast,
Cause the dictionary filled with letters will hit Jeremy with a blast.
And if you win, you'll get this big ol' prize, you'll go on back to school.
But if you lose, Jeremy throws you in the pool!
Jeremy opened up his book and he said, "I'll make a bet."
And letters popped up from the conveyor belt as he started the alphabet.
And he put on his purple monster suit, as the A's started to scream,
And a band of Frogtables joined in and the alphabet went like this...
[Jeremy and The Frogtables went and sang the whole alphabet]
When Jeremy finished, Lily said, "Well, you're pretty cool, big guy.
But sit down on that stool right there, and let Lil show you how to rhyme."
"Letters on the Loose" Run, kid, run!
Jeremy's in the house havin' lots of fun.
Parker and his friends kept starting that fight.
Quigley, do some words and get things right!
[Lily, Leap, and Tad did the same]
Jeremy bowed his head because he knew the alphabet,
And he laid that dictionary on the ground and made a bet.
Lily said, "Jeremy, just come on back if you ever want to catch some fish,
Cause I told you once, you big ol' frog, I done gave you your wish."
And they played:
"Letters on the Loose" Run, kid, run!
Jeremy's in the house havin' lots of fun.
Parker and his friends kept starting that fight.
Quigley, do some words and get things right!
