The Lyrics

burglary is growin'...day by day
people...snaggin' plenty of the tunes
bands feel crappy...some get mad
cause it seems their songs are gave away

what a creepy deed...and it leaves musicians riled
it ain't so hard to do if you know how
tunes are up for hostage
royalties through
oh what trauma, how can bands get by ?

whoa, no...rippin' off the music
whoa, no...rippin' off the music
whoa, no...rippin' off the music
all the time

folks, you know, should know better
just go out and pay
but they'd rather steal the stuff today
they will nab it
if they can
poor ol' bands don't plan it out this way

whoa, no...rippin' off the music
whoa, no...rippin' off the music
whoa, no...rippin' off the music
all the time

don't be lazy...be a giver
support musicians or they'll die
and this trend is growin' bigger
rippin' off some groovy sounds ?
why not go ahead and buy ?

whoa, no...rippin' off the music
whoa, no...rippin' off the music
whoa, no...rippin' off the music
all the time

LOL that was awesome!

My opinion is that people are just sue happy. Writers or musicians find similarities in someone else's work that is unintentional and they think they were plagerized. Remember the big stink about George Harrison's "My Sweet Lord" and "He's so Fine"? I couldn't see that much of a similarity myself.

This was so fine, doo-lang, doo-lang, doo-lang, and hallelujah. 2Eagle: You really couldn't tell the difference? Wow. Chuck Berry actually won a lawsuit, and now he is credited as the author of the Beach Boys' "Surfin' U.S.A." because it was such an obvious ripoff of his "Sweet Little Sixteen." (Not only were there jailbait issues: Where was St. Louis' Chuck gonna surf, the Mississippi River?)
