Well, I've never been a Janis fan either, despite that recent Melissa Etheridge-Joss Stone duet at the Grammys. I'm willing to let the film starring Pink convince me, if it ever gets made. (The Renee Zellwegger film appears to be abandoned.)

I actually don't recall ever hearing a single Hendrix lick (I know, I know...) but Joplin rules -- one of my favorite singers from back in the hoarse and druggie era.
