The Lyrics

This is based on the longer version that apparantley exists according the the lyrics sheets I found (and Arwen based her parody on the same elusive version).
The other night
At some bar, the name just eludes me
What a very painful time for me
As I remember what a night!

I walked in, right
The barkeeper - I can't recall his name
He looked at me with a look of disdain
What a bastard, what a night!

Oh, I
I have a funny feeling that I said something wrong
Did I?
I can't recall, my mem'ry of it's gone

Was quite a night
That old barkeep said no words to me
He just served me drinks, I sculled with glee
How much did I drink that night?

I think I just recalled my amazing blunder
Well, it revolved around a joke I made 'bout his mother
So stupid, right?

Oh I
Knew it was wrong as soon as it escaped my mouth
Oh my
As I recall, the patrons stopped their sounds

We had a fight!
Doo dit doo dit dit doo dit doo dit dit
Scuffled all night!
Doo dit doo dit dit doo dit doo dit dit

Slipped on spilt wine!
Doo dit doo dit dit doo dit doo dit dit
He pulled a knife!
Doo dit doo dit dit doo dit doo dit dit

He pulled a knife
I just looked in shock with blackened eyes
I just laughed, it was a pocket knife
I then said "That's not a knife"

I felt a rush of unforeseen adrenaline
Rolling my eyes I drew the machete strapped to my shin

(Now that's a knife!)

It's a blur from then on, think I was the victor
Hope that answers your questions, can I go now officer?

That was the night!
Doo dit doo dit dit doo dit doo dit dit
Was quite a night!
Doo dit doo dit dit doo dit doo dit dit
Got in a fight!
Doo dit doo dit dit doo dit doo dit dit
A painful fight!
Doo dit doo dit dit doo dit doo dit dit
Got scars and bites!
Doo dit doo dit dit doo dit doo dit dit
And all that shite!
Doo dit doo dit dit doo dit doo dit dit
He pulled a knife!
Doo dit doo dit dit doo dit doo dit dit
A puny knife!
Doo dit doo dit dit doo dit doo dit dit
I pulled my knife!
Doo dit doo dit dit doo dit doo dit dit
A better knife!
Doo dit doo dit dit doo dit doo dit dit
No charges, right?
Doo dit doo dit dit doo dit doo dit dit
Don't ask me why the guy had a machete strapped to his shin. Let's just call it an oblique reference to Crocodile Dundee (a film I haven't seen, but apparently it involves Australian thing so I feel strangely obligated to reference it) and call it a day.

tcop - Been there, but not done that (at least I don't think I did). Are you sure it wasn't my sister-in-law's bridal shower? As for the machete..."That's not a knife. Now THAT'S a knife!" ;D

(Artistry) Blimey! Great parody TCOP! The machete was my favorite part.

(Artistry) tcop, the movie Crocodile Dundee did for tourism in your native land in the '80s what Steve Irwin did in the '90s. As to your parody, I like how you made the details hazy, it added to the punchline with the police officer.

Great drunken bender it reminded me a lot of the movie "The Hangover". I loved the "That's not a Knife" reference as well. Funny stuff here T-Cop.

The Hangover didn't really focus around any bar fights--but I loved the Hangover. . .anyway, it was good TCOP overall

Artistry...one of my favorite Four Seasons songs...and this was fun. I also liked the "foggy" nature of all of your details...nice work!

(Artistry) In your country, they let guys into bars with machetes strapped to their legs? Wow, nothing says "party" like alcohol and weapons. Nice work.
