The Lyrics

Let's see what's cooking in MasonR's International House of Parodies...
(No thyme left for stew) On my way to cooking things
(No thyme left for stew) I got some chicken wings
(No thyme left for stew) Distant scents are calling me
Stir fries and rice and fries and rice and fries

No thyme in my rack of spice
No thyme, but it still tastes nice
Seasonings change, I don't know why
You need not make it fried
You need not make it fried
There's no thyme left for stew
No thyme left for stew

(No thyme left for stew) On my way to cookin' beans
(No thyme left for stew) This meal's a Tex-Mex theme
(No thyme left for stew) Distant scents are calling me
Stir fries and rice and fries and rice and fries

No thyme if it's fried or plain
No thyme for my wok and flame
No thyme for a pesto sauce
The thyme fell on the floor
I'm mopping it off the floor
There's no thyme left for stew
No time left for stew

No thyme for a marinade
No thyme; this dish can't be saved
Seasonings change I don't know why
You need not make it fried
You need not make it fried
There's no thyme left for stew
No thyme left for stew

No thyme left for you
No thyme, no thyme, no thyme, no thyme
No thyme, no thyme, no thyme, no thyme
I got, got, got, got no thyme (etc...)

I like this because it pairs nicely with my [Plug] "Ohms in the Range," posted today.

Thanks Alvin. John, you're right--your dish, I mean parody, complements this one quite nicely. Waiter, there's a fly in my stew.

Very clever! You should follow it up with "Duck l'Eau without Rosemary Blows" or something... ;-)

555 - Seriously impressed here.

I am, however, frustrated that you beat me to the punch on the "chicken wings" sub; I was going to use that in my own food-related parody of this song. Aw, crust--I mean, crud.
