Parody Song Title:

"She Ain't Ready, Just Like Mother"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

She takes so long
Some shortcuts I wish she'd learn
Ticking clocks prove should be there
Could have been
Why so long?
Her ritual needs a trim
She ain't ready
Just like mother

I'd like to go
For timeliness she's not concerned
Somehow she just does not care
We'll get there
Late I know
They'll think we were slumbering
She ain't ready
Just like mother

Find me staring at walls
She strives for perfection
Beauty can't be rushed
But I'd settle for cuteness
If we could be on time once

You know clocks tick slow
When patience has not been learned
And I couldn't say, "Be fair!"
Wouldn't dare
Been elbowed
Shouldn't pick on her at all
She ain't ready
Just like mother

(solo)

Just like mother

She ain't ready
Just like mother

She ain't ready!

The title was enough to make me roar but I'm glad you included the rest anyway. Yeah I used to get all ticked waiting for Mother but then I realized that when she was pokey she was keeping us from traffic accidents and appointments that were running late and sudden sales on things we needed. Mothers know these things. Now she is gone and I have to waste my own time. How many calories I burned up pacing the floor, how many crunches I did from sheer anxiety. Now she is gone and I am fat. Jesus.

Tried to think of a wise-crack using the word "primp" but nothing comes to mind...oh well...good parody, Tim.

I know the feeling. Of course, when I saw the title, I figured this was going to be about Norman Bates...
