You stretched the topic super thin since this is not only barely a showtune but it’s also barely about food. It’s more about technology which is a topic for another competition perhaps.
You didn't follow the parameters, but wow, this is Spaff-level material here, Pete! I wanted more, more! You really made me chuckle and guffaw. Back in the day, I would put this up as an SOTM. Maybe you should check out the classic Lonnie Donegan version and give us an expanded version of this. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXp0i7Y1eVo).
@ Matthias: I can absolutely agree on the barely-a-showtune part - but the title of the round was not food, it was "MUSICAL DINNER THEATER" - and I have dinner covered in the first verse, and theater/movie covered in the second. ;-)
Thanks Agrimorfee! I didn't see your comment when I answered Matthias, you must have submitted it while I was typing. I'll definitely look into writing a third verse for this one, set to the real original song, but I'm not sure I can come up with something similarly interresting/distracting happening between the dinner and the movie.

You could actually turn my parody title for today into a parody of this song: “What did I stick in my old freezer?Cause it looks gross, Such a fright!”
Killer last line, K1 but I especially loved the title sub, and the discontent/President rhyme - 555
