There's the fighting town hall meets,
As our children's future cheat.
And all morals have been ruptured and forgone,
Those czar men will burn us down,
As the grudgement festers on
They decide and it's those rotten brings the wrong.

They've ripped and spat on our old constitution,
Slam down now for wealth redistribution.
While they spin at the change comin' down.
Picked another czar today,
Should said "Yes we may",
Soon we'll be on our knees to stay,
We've just been fooled again.

The change didn't need to come,
Some knew it was all wrong.
They deliberated and then told us all,
Now the world looks all deranged.
And his story has changed.
'Cause these planners have the tone of a crass whore.

It's tit for tat with the news institution,
Their sacred cow grants pure absolution.
Smiles and grins as the change takes us down,
Took all of our cars away,
"Yes we can", okay.
As he's gone on and seized away,
We've just been fooled again,
Oh, no!

They'll prove no help as they damnly deride,
As they're slappin' us on our sore behinds.
They did all their capers all the while gettin' by,
'cause I know that the hypnotized don't ask why.

Boo-yah!

(Guitar jam)

Yeah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah!

There's nothings and elites,
The diff-er-en-ces are plain to see.
It's all bogus and displaced on the sly,
There's a party on the left,
And a party on the right,
With some beers at the White House to quell a fight.

They tipped their hand how they do constitution,
Holy cow let gets some restitution.
Ired chagrinned at the change does confound,
Picking' new czars everyday,
They're out to mess our way,
And just do as they please each day.
We've just been fooled again,
Just been fooled again!
Oh no!

(Long heavy guitar jam with follow on keyboard)

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

What's the new cost?
More than the old

This tells all, Guy! Yeah this world is messed up as it is and you chose a perfect OS for this topic! This also reminds me that if I were writing about current events and being fooled again, I would use Westlife's "Fool Again" for it! I especially loved how you involved czars in the parody and the "crass whore" line. Hope this world gets peace soon! 5's!

Another fine DiRito-Write...

Eye-catching line for moi: "nothings and elites". Food for thought! I've got some pretzels somewhere around here-- Beer?

I always ask myself "What has happened to this world?" when I watch the news, due to all the rape and chaos I hear about. Great parody BTW. 555

Christie Marie - Go for the "Fool Again" parody - I'd like to read it. Thanks for commenting.

FG - I didn't think much of "Nothings and elites" when I wrote this but it really does catch the eye as you so plainly put it. And I ain't lettin' 'em slide no time soon on that beer bottle diplomacy. Makes great sense to me - get two pissed off people and sit them down and give them alcohol and tell them to make nice - yeah real smart there. Thanks

DJ - You are way too young to see just how much has changed since I was your age. You would be sick if you saw what has transpired in a few short decades. There has always been the same amount of evil in the world - it's just more tolerated these days. Things that are "normal" now were unthinkable a few decades ago. Those who do not study and learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Thanks for reading and commenting.

Ribber - I've already written that parody - For a peek at it see "Who's What's His Name" @

Exactly! Thanks. Mark - I so see the resemblance now that you've pointed it out. Thanks for the wake-up!

Timmy1K - I'm going to keep at it until they disolve the 1st amendment and they jail me and make me a political prisoner. I shake my fist! Thanks.

Wonderful update to a powerful original melody. I always liked the Who's version. Your lyrics bring this song into the 21st century.

Patrick - Yeah, this OS was kind of about the same sort of thing way back when. I just brought it up to date. Thanks.

Fool me once...good write, Guy. Keep hammerin' away.

A♣ J♣ - They didn't fool me twice - I took the lesser of the evils and voted for what's his Cain? I really don't think they have ever fooled me unless taking the lesser evil makes of one a fool. Thanks and I'll hammer 'em until they find some way to shut me up even if it kills me and it probably will one of these days when I refuse to give up my 1st amendment right.

Frankly, that's telling it as it is. They are nothing but thugs out for power. 5's for a great write.

Pat - People do not learn from history so they repeat it. Thanks.

Guy or anyone do you know the OS and author of a rather old song , called possibly "One...something something" I've googled and searched here...no results. I'm thinking maybe I have the beginning wrong

Malcolm - I gave the new kids in town six months and now I'm writing. I have seen not a thing that pleases me since Jan, 20 2009. Can't say I didn't give them a chance. And it's all politicians that I scrutinize. Compared to the Bush years this is so way more of a target rich environment. No shortage of fodder to plink upon. Thanks for your comment my northern friend.

Pat - I know several old songs with the word "one" in the title - check your AOL email - I sent you some suggestions.
