The Lyrics

The epic story of teen fry cooks at Wendy's who get sued for spilling coffee in a man's lap. The first verse is the incident. The second is the lawsuit. The middle is one of the employees thinking of a plan. The third verse is in court. Enjoy.
There's a Wendy's down the street
Where the people come to eat
And you know that sometimes working here is fun
But one morning we served Don
Bought some coffee on the run
But he dropped it and his lap was all spilled on

He says for this we will face prosecution
And he'll contemplate execution
We all think he's just clowning around
But we got the mail today
He filed a complaint
And we get on our knees and pray
We won't get sued again

To our place he had come
Attorney came along
We weren't liberated from the suit just yet
He came to further complain
And his lawyer had pertained
He sneers to us "I'll see all you dumb teens in court."

Suing us isn't the right solution
Will we all have to pay restitution
For the java he spilled on the ground
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
And we get on my knees and pray
We won't get sued again
No, no!

My colleague Stephanie gave us a sign
We should meet up to prepare for tonight
We'll look at the papers and get ready to fight
For I know that we got the right, she don't lie.

Do ya?

Yaaahh!

Been subpoenaed for next week
Intervention's what we seek
Don and us are face to face, eye to eye
We don't know what to say next
And this guy wished he was right
But we Wendy's employees won the fight

We'll all forget his unkind persecution
This whole schtick might cause a revolution
Now our jobs are all safe and sound
All the fry cooks won the case
Let's try Saturday
We all go out we parTAAAY
We won't get sued again
Won't get sued again
Oh yeah!!

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Well it's his loss
Save it for our boss

This is America - nothing can infringe upon our right to make a killing from meritless lawsuits! ;D

Yeah these ridiculous lawsuits are awful. Well written parody!

good

About as bad as the Micky D lawsuit from several years ago - only she spilled it on herself and it was too hot.

I was wondering if you knew about the *real* lawsuit to which Timmy1000 referred. Drive-thru, spilled hot coffee in her lap while driving (maybe you shouldn't drink and drive har har), won $10 million because "the coffee was too hot". D'oh, who doesn't know that coffee is served hot? ... Glad your suit came out the right way. I award you $555.

If this parody makes me split a side, can I sue?

OMR- True dat. PN- I know, right? Just listen to "I'll Sue Ya" by Weird Al!!! THOSE are stupid reasons to sue. AH- Thank you. T1K- mmhmm. TT- I did know about that lawsuit, I just twisted it around because I like Wendy's better. And yes, you have to be an idiot to not know that coffee is hot. This is my most epic parody ever! Meriadoc- No. If you split a side, that's good sign! And thanks, that was super nice.
