The Lyrics

This is the true story of when I worked with someone who'd rather play FreeCell on the computer instead of work. As in Dragnet, "the names have been changed to protect the innocent." And the not-so-innocent.
Since I've been a rent-a-peon,
I've "temped" all over town.
But this new job's a great one
The best darn place around.
But I've seen no other like her
As you can surely tell...
That darn slackin' old temp
Sure plays a mean Free Cell !

She sits like a statue,
Becomes part of the machine.
Clicking on that mouse
Staring at that screen.
She's made her escape from
Her data-entry hell.
That darn slackin' old temp
Sure plays a mean Free Cell !

She's the Free Cell Wizard
Can't resist the urge to play.
A Free Cell Wizard,
A sneak that's getting paid!

'How do you think she does it? I don't know!
What makes her so bad?'

She ain't got no distractions
Just ignores that stack of files
And abandoned data entry
In ever-growing piles.
Always has a replay,
'n' never works at all...
That darn slackin' old temp
Sure plays a mean Free Cell !

I have been called
The data-entry king.
But she just keeps on
With 'er darned ol' Free Cell thing.

Even on a good day
She'll whine and gripe and crab.
Then she opens up a game
And plays on the boss's tab.
Got her fingers glued to that mouse
Clicking without fail...
That darn slackin' old temp
Sure plays a mean Free Cell!!!!!
