In our area, a local "transgender" teen was killed recently by three young men who reacted rather badly when they found out the cute chickie they were getting sexual favors from had man parts. Besides the tragic outcome, what I thought was strange was that the printed, local and national press kept referring to the victim as "She". Even around here, I've always thought that you had to have the whole big operation to be thought of as a member of the opposite sex. Even then, if scientists dig up your bones and do a DNA test, they're still gonna call you a dude. I just wondered why no one in the media found that designation odd.
