Parody Song Title:

"My Next Door Neighbors Like Pot"

Parody Written by:

Michael McVey

The Lyrics

In my conversations
I have casually mentioned
The fact that my neighbors like pot.
And if you think I condone what they do,
Let me be clear, I do not!

Chorus:
They like pot.
Sometime it turns their eyes yellow,
They like pot.
It's bad for their health,
But they think it makes them feel mellow,
(Makes them feel mellow).
Crack is too rough,
LSD costs too much,
And makes them see things that are not!
I'm just about ready to call up the cops,
My next door neighbors like pot
(They like pot).

2. My wife often frowns
When we try to lie down,
The room smells like something just died.
She wants to move,
And I'm ready to prove
Who's boss with my Colt 45!

(Chorus)

3. Last night I dreamed
That my neighbors moved
To where Fire Road meets Brimstone Street.
The homeboys gave weed
Away for free,
And they sold their cocaine dirt cheap.

Chorus:
They like pot.
Sometime it turns their eyes yellow,
They like pot.
It's bad for their health,
But they think it makes them feel mellow,
(Makes them feel mellow).
Crack is too rough,
LSD costs too much,
And makes them see things that are not!
I'm just about ready to call up the cops,
My next door neighbors love pot.
(Yes... they... love... POT!!!)

(ABC3) I agree with your stance. Seems to me that the second-hand smoke affected your writing the song...it's a bit scatterbrained with the ideas.

(ABC3M) "Last night I dreamed that my neighbors moved to where Fire Road meets Brimstone Street" was a great line. I was able to find a copy of TOS. Great choice, it almost sounds like a parody itself. I also had a bit of trouble singing this to it, but not enough to dock you. The consistent choruses work to your advantage here, too, IMO.

On a side note, I'm a bit taken back by JD's comment...
