The Lyrics

Just a flash of the can.....
It's a very good day for my moonpants
There's a lot of young girls on the street
I am dressed in a very tight leather
With a very loose flap on the seat

I wait for an opportune moment
And I drop a pen onto the ground
I wait till all eyes are upon me
Then say "Oops, clumsy me!" and bend down

And both the cheeks of my hiney
Are exposed to the air
I love the gasps and the horror
As they glimpse—derriere

Can I just flash in my moonpants for you my love?
Can I just flash in my moonpants for you my love?

Well I want the widest exposure
I just love to play up to a crowd
Spring my buns from their leather enclosure
Till the shrieking of women gets loud

I can usually make an escape fast
As the men in the blue can attest
As I ran away I was confronted
By a nut case who showed me her chest

And I was shocked and disgusted
By the sight of her rack
Now I am hiding in my room
And I'm not going back

I won't be flashing my moonpants for you my love
I won't be flashing my moonpants for you my love

Bootyful job, Rick - butt you knew I'd probably say that.

This one's a real bummer. 'To the moon, Alice' to quote Jackie Gleason. Nice number.

Someone needs to explain to me what these moonpants be, I have a vague idea and that's why it was funny :-)

Rice, ye innocent... I think he is referring to those leather pants that bikers wear over their jeans which expose the buns...

Adtually, I have no idea. I just went for the rhyme, thought "I guess these would be pants you moon people in" and off it went. (The parody, not the pants)

Those pants are known as chaps, and not many people at all ever expose their tussies. It's more of a novelty, than the norm.

What's funny is I was thinking about those slick-looking getups from the eighties and didn't even think about "I guess these would be pants you moon people in" til you mentioned it. I never wore that stuff so for all I knew they had flaps in the back. Anyway, "Oops, clumsy me!" is funny in any context.
