The Lyrics

Again one of the songs of which there ought to be more parodies. The original can be found here.
When I was a young girl, I
dreamed of circumnavigation
I'd sail the oceans wide and blue
and see many a country and nation -

I'm gonna sail around the world
I'm gonna sail around the world
Because it is there -

I'd see Canarias and Bahamas
Where the Caribbean sea is blue
Then I'd head for Fiji or Tahiti
And Australia I would then visit too

I'm gonna sail around the world
I'm gonna sail around the world
Because it is there -

I'm gonna sail around the world
I'm gonna sail around the world
Because it is there -

Then I'll be hanging in the rain out here
Trying to avoid a typhoon
Or I'll get stuck at calm at horse latitudes
and hope that fresh water will not end too soon

The stars are strange at the tropical skies
and Polaris is nowhere to be seen
And waters are full with jellyfish and sharks
and they're dangerous for human being -

I'm gonna sail around the world
I'm gonna sail around the world
Because it is there -
I'm gonna sail around the world
I'm gonna sail around the world
Because it is there -

I would be hoisting the main and spinnaker
with my hubby and my sons and my daughter
And then in a year or maybe not quite
We'll be sharing the tears and the laughter -

I'm gonna sail around the world
I'm gonna sail around the world
Because it is there -
I'm gonna sail around the world
I'm gonna sail around the world
Because it is there -

DKOS but thanks for the adventures in paradise. Keep your eye on that big wide sky and hold on to the dream.

Susanna, always enjoy your nautical-themed parodies. Nice dream but I would only trust a sub (like Hitler I despise surface fleets). How long until a submarine carrier is built at a mere fraction of the cost of a $2 Billion nuke-powered carrier and capable of launching waves of kamikaze attack drones that can't be jammed b/c they use visual target-aquistion EO systems (led also by a UCAD) and Intel-hopping processing systems? Btw, electrochromatics and Miraflage work bettter with smaller airframes (a small delta would be ideal)! It's a given that the larger navies will apply disruptive electronic active camouflage in the near future to their surface vessels and maybe the missile ship concept will be resurrected in a new form...???

Oops... missed a zero- make that $20 Billion nuke-powered carrier with future US carriers leaning towards $30 Billion! In other naval news stealthed littoral vessels are of interest now...
