The Lyrics

yesterday...a baseball game...a seat behind first base
green grass palace...sunlit glory...catch the pennant race
i believe i...need a cold beer...get up from my place
what a bummer...there's no bud here...coors is a disgrace

bottled beer...tastes good to me...at home or in a bar
satisfying...made to gulp down...always up to par
but this summer...though i simmer...i've had none so far
under no damn...circumstances...from a glass or jar

yesterday...i'm at the game...no smile upon my face
feeling malice...same ol' story...screw the pennant race
what's a ballgame...with no cold beer...gee, i hate this place
what a bummer...there's no bud here...coors is a...
coors is a disgrace
coors is a disgrace
coors is a disgrace

lord, i'm dying...mutilated...peanuts scattered here
crying out...i'm thirsty, lord...my thirst won't...my thirst won't disappear

yesterday...i left the game...a smile upon my face
feel no malice...hunky dory...love the human race
on my way...to have some cold beer...at my favorite place
keep 'em coming...lots of bud here...coors is a...
coors is a disgrace
coors is a disgrace
coors is a disgrace

Alvin, I'm in awe. Not only is Yes playing in my town Saturday, (the only band still from the 70's still touring with original members) but I hated Coors also. I once went to a bar right next to the Golden, Colorado brewery and ordered a Bud. As one of the few people here that has tackled Yes songs, let me say this song makes me so satisfied I'm on my way!

Good job--pure poetry. It seems as though one can't but help but be poetic when parodying Yes. 555

Alvin, was DKTOS on the original but I rustled up the original lyrics from . Here is the link if anyone else needs it: http://leoslyrics.com/search.php?search=Yours+Is+No+Disgrace&ssongtitle=1 Cleanse your palette of that nasty Coor's with these 5's.

Now back in the Yes days, Coors was actually good - back when the cans had two push holes in them. Rick, you might be suprised if you attend the Yes concert . . . my girlfriend and I saw them in Albany back in 1991 - 15,000 15-year-olds - but they still played in the "Round". Nice job here Alvin.

thank you all for takin' a peek...i've seen yes twice...way back in 75... they did the whole close to the edge album AND tales from topographic oceans...then i saw 'em again just a year or two back at the hollywood bowl...no wakeman, like the current tour ...but mind blowing just the same

Nice job, Alvin! It reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Homer quits drinking, then goes to a baseball game and says that he never realized how boring the game really was.

On the current tour as on the last, Wakeman is indeed back. I used to think it was rather humorous when he'd come on stage with 15 keyboards and run around playing them all. I'd say, he could probably get the same effect with 5. Then in the 80's, the band had Tony Kaye who got all the big sounds on 2 keyboards. Then I said, it's sure boring watching a guy play just two keyboards. Now Wakeman is back with his 15, and it's fun again.
