The other night on my car radio, I head an oldies station playing this number by a fellow named Cat Stevens. "Isn't that the terrorist sympathizer guy who's calling himself Yusuf Islam now?" I asked myself. When I got home and checked with my usual news sources, I discovered that yes, that's him all right! When a guy who has openly said he'd like to see Salman Rushdie burned alive starts talking about peace, you might just want to check through all those mushy, gooshy lyrics about world peace he's been singing to see whether you *really* understood what he was saying the first time. Case in point: suppose he started singing this version of "Peace Train" to you?

Right now, of course, Yusuf Islam's on tour with another racist loser, Al Gore. See how easy it is to be consistent in your desires, even if they seem so contradictory? Just as some people (such as every member of Planned Parenthood) favor eliminating poor people in order to eliminate poverty, ol' Cat Stevens--whoops--Yusuf Islam favors ending war and bringing world peace by eliminating everyone who doesn't want to be a Muslim and installing a one-world Islamic Caliphate over us all. Dead people are the most peaceful people in the world, you know. As for the living, they won't have to worry anymore about anyone disturbing the peace, since anyone who dares say anything against their religion of peace will soon be made permanently peaceful via the swift removal of their heads from their bodies with a schimitar. Yes indeedy, Yusuf Islam could sure teach Al Gore a thing or two about population control!
