The Lyrics

Everywhere you are, everyplace and time in your life, no matter if it's home, family, school, religion, parties, college, work, anywhere, LIFE itself you're going to encounter someone so self-centered, so narcisstic, someone who thinks the whole Universe revolves around him/her, someone who thinks of nobody else. It's all 'Me me ME'
Adam Ant had a huge worldwide hit in 1982-1983 with the song 'Goody Two Shoes' about the media applauding 'stars' and then looking for 'faults' in them to 'take them down again'. Some of these 'stars' need to be put in their place but not all of them are that way.

This parody is about the ordinary people we all know who are so egotistical, the blowhards who are just jerks and a royal pain in the ass to others around. You know who they are!

(*complex rhythms on more than one drum kit *) (*when I was at an Adam Ant concert in 2013, he had TWO drummers, one man and one woman.*)
(* No, she was not Sheila E. either*)

(*acoustic guitar played - di di di di-di-di!*)
(*acoustic guitar played - di di di di-di-di!*)
(*acoustic guitar played - di di di-di-di!*)
(*acoustic guitar played - di di di di-di!*)
(*horns blast in - di-di-di! Di-di! repeatedly*)

With your ego open
So much you can't hide
Acting a little pissy, pissy
Just like a stuck-up missy, missy

If the words of hatred
Get stuck in your mind
Comes out in your language, language
Breaking thru your disguise, disguise

Goody two, goody two, goody goody two shoes
Goody two, goody two, goody goody two shoes
You talk trash, gossip, what do you do
You talk trash, gossip, what do you do
Your projection of your lack of morals
It shows your inner weakness

You don't have a conscience
You're such a joke
You know you're gonna keep on bragging
So everyone feels disgust, disgust

When they saw you kneelin'
Cryin' words you don't mean
Begging for their mercy, mercy
Pretendin' that you're humble, humble

(*horns again*)

Goody two, goody two, goody goody two shoes
Goody two, goody two, goody goody two shoes
You talk trash, gossip, what do you do
You talk trash, gossip, what do you do
Your projection of your lack of morals
It shows your inner weakness

(*more horns, with a lone sax bleating!*)

You can't even listen (*electric guitar kicks in, three notes*)
What anyone says (*same three notes on electric guitar*)
And you continue interrupting
Keep on running the big mouth, big mouth

You're so damn ignorant
You're a lippy chump
You suck and you got nothing to say
I think the games have gone much too far

If the words of hatred (*more electric guitar, same three notes*)
Get stuck in your mind (*more electric guitar, same three notes*)
Comes out in your language, language
Breaking thru your disguise, disguise

(*acoustic guitar kicks in again, then the horns*)

You talk trash, gossip, what do you do
You talk trash, gossip, what do you do
Your projection of your lack of morals
It shows your inner weakness
Because you talk trash, gossip, what do you do
You talk trash, gossip, what do you do
Your projection of your lack of morals
It shows your inner weakness
Because you talk trash, gossip, what do you do
You talk trash, gossip, what do you do
Your projection of your lack of morals
It shows your inner weakness
Because you talk trash, gossip, what do you do
You talk trash, gossip, what do you do
Your projection of your lack of morals
It shows your inner weakness
Because you talk trash, gossip, what do you do
You talk trash, gossip, what do you do
Your projection of your lack of morals
It shows your inner weakness

(*acoustic guitar strums two notes. Then two drum slams, indicating that you beat the jerk on the head. POW! POW!*)
