The Lyrics

The singer of this story really hates love songs and I'm not too crazy about them either but he goes up on stage and sings them because he knows that screaming girls will go crazy for a handsome guy crooning love ballads at them... Even though this guy is actually kinda of a perverted loser... Enjoy!
I harmonize these songs about love
For a hefty price
Need pay bills and stuff
But before every show
I'm elbow deep in smut and I drink gin

So wet your eyes and say you're a big fan
I'll go hit the bar and chug fifteen beer cans
On stage I'm devout but then I will have some groupies blow me

I know that you're drooling
Cause I'm crooning you love songs
Can't tell that I'm sleazy, You people are my pawns
(You're my pawns)

Lost my lunch, My heart's full of sludge
I'm just working the crowd until I can go grunge
Got babes rubbing my feet as long as some dumb songs are flaunted

It's a disguise, Not a feelings man (Feelings man)
Had a swear jar but it filled up too fast (Filled up too fast)
Want to scream and shout as a rock star but now singing slowly

I know that it's grueling
On stage belting out these songs
It's making me queasy but it's all for the con
(For the con)

Lost my lunch but it makes me bucks
To this life I am vowed even though it sure sucks
I bet you can't believe that my choir teacher once taunted

Had no music schooling
And most times they'd strike the gong
But I'm staying cheesy and I'll get all that I want
(All I want)

Lost my lunch when I heard this junk
Cause I brainwashed the crowd though I'd rather be punk
But there's lobster to eat and I got a mansion that's not haunted

I just lost, lost my lunch, lost my lunch, lost my lunch
Cookies tossed, Lost my lunch, face will scrunch, ears will crunch
Lost my lunch...
(Repeat and fake in the money)

I actually liked the OS. It was the start of the 80s. I liked the acoustic guitars, electric pianos and synths. Good song. Unfortunately, Air Supply's subsequent releases smacked of Jim Steinman / Meat Loaf bombast and pretention and that made me LOSE MY LUNCH ; ) Great job.

This parody got me thinking that Air Supply might as well have been living the life of a Gene Simmons but no one could be the wiser.

As a result, this is why we have internet porn...we can relate when it comes to that depending on situations.

(Artistry) Liked the concept a lot, as a lot of this is true for a lot of musicians. Could've done without the crudity of certain lines (not that I'm really against that sort of things, it just felt out of place in this particular parody). Overall, very nice work. Solid spoof as always, Matty.

(Artistry) Solid in concept, but in execution it felt a bit meandering. Like there were several different elements of this singer you wanted to touch on, but you did it all at once instead of spacing them out. Still pretty funny, 555 and all, but it could've used a bit more work, IMO.

I gotta agree with Blaydeman, I think some of the lines would have been a little more PG. It's not that they weren't funny, and I understand what you were going for, but "looking for groupies to blow me" doesn't seem to fit with the tone of the song. Overall , a really funny idea and done pretty well.

Allow me to explain, It's a guy who's living the rock star lifestyle while actually singing slow and boring love songs. Basically what's going on behind the scenes isn't what you're seeing when he's on stage.
