The Lyrics

This was supposed to be a cute parody about animals, kinda inspired by the family movie "Homeward Bound" where one cat and two dogs make it across a mountain wilderness alone, reuniting with their owners on the other side - but somehow the story ended up more like the movie "Pet Sematary" instead. You're welcome!

A YouTube version of the original song can currently be found here.
We took our kitty
A long way from home
Got some scratch and bite
We missed the gloves
But we left it in the woods
And then drove off from the site

Then an outside noise
After seven days
We found it staring grim
It wanted meat
And milk for lapping it craved
Like a household queen

Oh, it came back
All the miles it must have roamed
And it's mad like a troll
Came back
The kitty made it home
And it wrecked our whole household

Was claws and fangs and whirl
When we took a hike
In a mat was rolled
We sank with stones
To the bed of a lake
And some Hades' wakes

Now it swipes and pulls
In malevolence
Since again it's home
How we do not know
Pushed all my wife's plants
And tore up my pants

Oh, it came back
And its vengeance ain't postponed
Now there's nothing withhold
It's back
The kitty made it home
Our demise is now its goal

Fixed to hear it coming
Had it tied to a can
That cost some bleeding
And a messed up divan
From its dangerous, ragious clawing

It's got parasites
And it's leaving rats
In our childrens' shoes

Yes, when we're out of sight

Yes, it came back
It's as smelly as it's fat
On a rage overdose

Came back
It ripped and clawed and spat
And it ate my toy smurfs

True that!
We have no tit-for-tat
It survives Laundromats

It's whack!
We don't rule our habitat
Cos our cat's bellicose

Came back
We killed the thermostat
But it don't mind the cold

It's back
It poops the welcome mat
Now it's after our souls

Adorably evil! I’m not sure if I’d cuddle up with this beast.

Whoa, Stephen King might pinch this idea K1 - reminds me of that Roald Dahl (?) story about the monkey claw returning and knocking on the door - creepy stuff - and sure, he can mess up the house, but not the divan! jeepers, that's a step too far - 555

"Oh the cat came back/She didn't want to roam/The very next day it was home, sweet home!"-- written by Harry S. Miller, 1893 per wiki. Nice update for our grisly 21st century.

Hi kichy. Beware a scorned cat! I have learned the hard way over many years. Enjoyed the malevolence outlined in this story.

DKTOS, but this was one wicked read. Most of mine have seemed to be content with glaring at me with some serious stink-eye, although the last one seemed to be weighing the pleasure vs consequences of pissing on my pillow.
